Well a lot of you people most likely saw that us brave Windurstians have decided to regain most of the lands surrounding our beautiful nation.

In itself (result wise) we lost, we ate dirt, we got stabbed and we had a taste of Astral Flow from a Yagudo Summoner. (which wiped out most of the Alliance)

But all in all it was not in vain, we learned a lot and many of us took notes regarding this EF. I started taking heavy notes right at the start seeing that EFs were not particularly discussed on a lot of english based sites (even mysterytour lacks info)

So I present to you the results and a general history of our EF

Round 1: 10 people or so we werent sure if only 5 people could do it or many 5 person party in a alliance could do it. We quickly saw the alliance worked. Someone triggered the banner and goblins popped amidst us, it was a short and very gruesome battle, we got wiped out.

Round 2: We gather 3 more brave warriors and head back to the dreaded Buburimu Peninsula. We still dont know where the flags(banners) are, bu we have high hopes. We find the banner on near the secret beach and Tzipporah proceeds to activate it while the party stands back. I AOE sleep and one of the mages stonegaed... Thats when the battle got messy, we were doing good until the Yagudo Summoner decided to Astral Flow using his newborn elemental. Mistakes were made and 13 raises later we were back in action.

Round 2-1: We are raised and unweakened, we decide to go Banner hunting again. We find this one in a moutainous region. Same tactic and we decide to attack only one foe at a time. Tzi again goes for activation and I AOE sleep (Lullaby). Alas the Goblin Red Mage and Tzi targets the Goblin Warrior. Unfortunately some decided to attack the White mage and others the black mage, which ended up in a massive fray. We managed to win but barely, with 4 members left standing.

Round2-2: Well we did this one for kicks, only 10 of us left anyway. We found it in the northern reaches of Bubu. It spawned 4 yags: Bard, White Mage, Samurai and Black Mage. I slept them and most of us ran for zone.

Now unto the strategy part

Being the only one with AOE sleep wasnt a problem, black mages can help sleep the stray monsters. Our battle plan was fine but not great. Battles were often fought against every monster, while it should have been one or 2 at a time.

What we lacked: maybe a ranger and a ninja to complete the 15 warriors maximum capacity for the fight. Discipline was almost non existant once the beasts spawned. Hell broke loose early.

General Strategies: Have a puller activate the banner and have your bard(s) ready Horde Lullaby. If there is a red mage that spawns among the group, target him first have him brought back to the "camp" a few ways from the banner.

If no red mage spawns I would recommend atacking the summoner, if there are no summoners go for the warrior and move into the ranks bit by bit. If theres a WHM keep it slept or go for him early (unless theres a RDM)

The trick is maintaining sleep and making sure everyone grabs a correct target.

Ill post some pictures below. (and yes thats Tanta laughing but not at my face in the dirt)

I think if we camped a little further away and all targeted one mob at a time, we could have done well. I think it might also be best to target mages first since they are the ones doing heal and AoE spells.
The main problem was that once the NMs spawned, people started taking on everything in sight. The /assist macro should help prevent any future problems.
We also need to level some more. I think if we were all level 30, we could have done better.
I have a RNG lvl 25 that I can level to 35. I can also bring a BST if I can level it in time. We will need some tanks though. Hopefully someone out there can assist with a tank (PLD, WAR, NIN).
It was a good experience though and a lot of fun!

I'll have Pld up to 30 for next time hopefully, though I was lagging so much that it made it hard to tank properly anyway...

Anyway, it was fun =) Nice to do something different, and something not many people have actually seen.

And at least now we know what to do, and how to do it. Hopefully next time we'll do better.

    I'm bringing RNG/NIN next time.

    We'll need
    3 tanks
    3 healers
    2 enfeeblers
    1 bard
    6 damage dealers

if we get all this, we'll do really well next time

Well, I did find out that you can solo the Yags if you can get them seperate, I got the Yag BLM down to the last hit or two and I warped back because a gob agroed me and i didnt want to die over it. It could be possable so pull and seperate each of the mobs with a 4 man team and kill them that way. That is praticaly what happened with the gobs, but with them it happened on accident. It didn't work out to well with the gobs because of the dispursion of job lvls in the alliance, My pt happend to have the ones that brought higher lvl jobs out and made the cap, so we didn't suffer as many losses as can be seen in the fifth pic. (also a good shot of Levithan's 2hr ^^)

I do agree with everyone that it was a blast, and im looking forward to the next one!

Actually I was quite high, but all that sleep made those goblins cranky as hell.

And yes they can be soloed or grouped. Thats why splitting them up is always nice as we wanted to do. Mages should be easy to solo for melee classes since you can stop their casting quickly.
