I would like to make a special acknowledgement and say a big Thank You to a couple of people.

Last night in Yhoator Jungle, as I was running around near the zone, assisting with crowd control (handling random goblins and calls for help), a shout was heard.

A kind and well-meaning THF named Enyx had found a solitary Tarutaru mage, face down, far away from where all the parties were huddled.

Enyx called for a raise. Several times he implored anyone within earshot, all the while waiting alongside the body of the fallen Taru. While I know for a fact that at least several of the nearby parties had mages capable of raising, no one responded.

I stopped by to see them, and then ran off again to see if I could find help directly. I offered a shout of my own, requesting a raise, even offering a 3k reward for their trouble if someone would just come and help.

As good fortune would have it, just as I passed by the zone, I spied a RDM by the name of Connery who has just then showed up.
I entreated him to help, and he was more than willing.

I led him back to the location and Connery raised him.

Enyx had been keeping nasty goblins at bay to ensure the area was safe, but as we arrived, I noticed that he was lagging out, and eventually suffered a {connection lost} and dissapeard.

I did not see Enyx again that night, though I periodically did a /sea to see if he had returned.
I never got the opportunity to thank him and express my feelings about his selfless willingness to help a random fallen player.

I did have plenty of opportunity to converse with Connery after that, however, and I hope I was able to impart my gratitude adequately.
We enjoyed a lengthy conversation before I finally had to leave.

These two players demonstrated last night an admirable willingness to come to the aid of other players, and also showed themselves in other ways to be smart, friendly, and respectable players themselves.

Good guys, they are, and I just wanted everyone else to know.

(To the monk in the jungle (name withheld): You're a nice guy, and I know it's hard to make money, but for your own sake, as well as the reputation of the brotherhood of monks throughout Lakshmi, please level up your subjob and update your equipment. As you are now, you do your parties a disservice, and yourself a dishonour. You will be ten times the monk you are now, if you just do those two things.)
