Howdoo fellow Lakshmi buddies. I just started playing FFxi again after a month and a half hiatus. In that time my damn LS broke! =[

Now that I've gotten in touch with some of my old LS friends, they don't seem to give a .... care about the old Teamspeak server I used to run. Well, it's back up now and I'm opening it to all players on Lakshmi. I would like to restrict the age to 16 and above, but if you are mature enough, it should not matter. (Yes, extreme immaturity will be valid reason to be banned immediately.)

So, for those that are interested the server addy is 68.113.46.124

(My characters on Lakshmi are Alain and Pixi if anybody remembers me =)

Won't it be difficult to hear specific people if everyone's talking on the same server? Or do I just not properly understand how teamspeak works?

Blech, I don't know if this was the best idea. History is bound to repeat itself =P

Ok, to set a few things straight...

Don't just jump on to see if anyone is on there, I've noticed (just today, since I posted my address) like five people jump on and back off within 5 seconds. Think about it... if everybody did that, what are the chances of anybody ever chatting? So, if you're gonna jump on the server, at least hang out for a couple minutes.

Teamspeak, for anyone who doesn't know is a CB-like program useful for online gaming. A server has to be run on a computer somewhere so that people with the client program can connect to it. I am running such a server (address 68.113.46.124) on my computer. Go to www.teamspeak.org and get the client program to connect. Basically, everyone on the server can hear each other.

And yes, by the way, it can be a pain in the *** if everybody tries to talk at once. That's why I compare the program to CB (citizen's band radio). However, there are options in the client program to set separate keys for whispering to specific players/members on the server. (You'll have to check that out on your own.) But it's really not so bad as long as nobody's trying to rap all the time (we miss you Thuglife.)

Hope that clears everything up and I hope to talk to some cool people, not like those douche-bags today that LEFT THE SERVER ONCE MAINTENANCE WAS DONE! (Does that make any sense at all?)
(Also, please understand there was no offense intended to said douche-bags, after all I address my best friend as such all the time.)

Ok, buhbye!

Douche-bags? We were talking for like... an hour. We had a scheduled RP, so we wanted to concentrate on being in character. >.> Sorry if that offended you.

/em shoves teamspeak guy dude.

Yeah, Logicow did explain that to me later. He's the only one that's been hanging out on the server at all. I've seen a few others come check if anybody was on. */sigh*

And I really didn't mean any offense Kaahi, I could understand how TS might make RPing well a little confusing, so I see why you all left when maintenance was done.

I just hope I didn't scare everybody off the server for good. =[

No, I'll be coming back when I have less things to do. It takes a lot to scare me off anything.

Ok, here's a good example of what I was ******** about:

[13:45:29] LogiCow joined channel
[13:53:39] LogiCow quit
[13:21:02] Xionya joined channel
[13:32:27] Xionya quit
[14:32:20] Wriath Blackmane joined channel
[14:32:24] Wriath Blackmane quit

Make sense now? =Þ

Y'all should actually hang out on there a bit if you wanna talk to each other (I know nobody wants to talk to me anyway)

Hey I was there for a good 8 minutes :)

And I'm on right now.

Yeah, I see you on there often Logicow =D

I wanted to tell Garion (whoever it was) that I was disappointed I missed him. David Eddings is one of my favorite authors. Years ago I even got a hand-written letter from him for some school paper. Hope to see you on there again, Garion.
