Isn't there already a shell like this called TheIlluminaughty ? I think I saw that in one of their member's bazaar comments in Whitegate: something about it being a gay,lesbian and transexual LS. Good luck to you though.

WELL, if by "creepy" you mean "hilarious," then yes, we're totally creepy. No topic is too taboo for our linkshell. : )

Yes, we do have our drama (which is no different than any other large linkshell) but for the most part we're out to have fun. We have had our ups and downs but we've been around for... what? Four years now? Drama aside, we're an otherwise tight-knit linkshell and we're always welcoming to new friendly players. Especially if they're hot. But that's just me.

If you're looking for a fun GLBT/Queer/Gay-friendly/Whatever social linkshell, TheIllumiNaughty will have what you're looking for.

OK what is with all the gay threads popping up all of a sudden.

Really does you liking people of the same sex like that make you different or special or anything. NO it does not

A persons sexual preference has nothing to do with their abilities. Everyone (yes everyone not just homosexuals) is running around saying they want equal rights then they go off and try and segregate themselves. I can understand wanting to be with people that "get you". But why do you have to make special clubs if you want to be accepted does that not defeat the purpose of everyone being equal what if I wanted to join your club because you do alot of the same things I like but I am different then yous?

And the other thing that is pissing me off is the last few nights sitting in white gate people shouting that they are gay to A) either get attention or what ever or B) start a fight about gays which is just f'ing dumb.

Who cares what you do I for one dont and I am getting sick of seeing it lately, you do not see me running around announcing my sexual preferences and sh*t trying to start a LS where strait people can come hang out and feel safe with out having to worry about being ridiculed for who they are.

I agree with you on this, people should ban together to fight ignorant people that feel just because some one is different then them they are wrong.

In this game making an LS that is Open to all people and will not stand for demeaning slurs toward any people is better IMO then a "Gay" friendly LS. For two reasons 1) You are already segregating yourselves and drawing undo attention to your LS. 2) You may discourage people from joining.

This reminds be back to right after the trade towers where attacked and everyone was being intolerant of Arabs or anyone from the Indian/Pakistan region (well a lot of people still are). I was in the Army at the time (SGT) and we got a flood of new people in I dont know how many of them would use racial slurs about any one we came across that included other Army soldiers. Then I would have to punish and educate the person that made the slur.

Hating one person for something that they did to you, your family, your country is fine. But hating that persons entire race or culture for that is just wrong, and yes if you are a intolerant @$$ hole then I will be intolerant of you, at least I have a valid reason behind mine.

Maybe not the extent that some people have but I am an American that has lived outside the country's boarders for over 70% of my life as a child and adult. I have been ridiculed on personal and professional level, spat on for just being in a place that you are not wanted (this was in the US while I was am Army Recruiter, had stuff hurled at my convoys, even segregated as a child (not by the children but by their parents).

There are still a lot of close-minded straight people out there that DO go around bashing gay people, for the way they were born. Why would we not seek out a linkshell where we can be ourselves without fear of people throwing out insults to us? The reason the linkshell exists seems pretty clear to me.




The linkshell IS open to everyone. There is no bashing of any way, shape or form in the linkshell. That includes race, religion, and yes, even sexuality.

If we discourage people from joining simply by saying it's gay friendly, then that's fine! If the word 'gay' scares them, they can find a linkshell they would much rather call home, I'm sure.

EDIT: I love getting rated down for explaining what the linkshell stands for and why it exists. Some people out there must have a problem with me being gay, and rated me down for it. They are probably the same people asking why we want to be in a 'gay-friendly' LS...

homophobia, racism, no thanks, all this guy wants to do is avoid being called harsh names and avoid hearing things that put his lifestyle down. no one wants to hear "omg that NM is so <insert your ethnicity/religion here>." hey if you think about it, that doesnt make any sense. that mission was so american, that quest was so english. see those dont make any sense either. so calling something gay doesnt make any sense. but some ppl arent smart enough to figure that out.

I'm not shouting I'M HERE IM QUEER GET USED TO IT by any means lol. I find that annoying myself. This Linkshell was started by me and a few friends who were tired of people ridiculing us and talking smack about gays. I don't go around shouting "queer looking for party" lol. But If someone is making gay or racial or religous slurs in my parties, I will say something and have been known to leave them because of it. Not to say I'll leave the first time someone says "thats gay" cause face it, I'd never get to level lol. And as far as segretating myself and friends, thats not the case. 60% of our members are straight, and married couples. Who aren't bigots and haters.
We created this LS to be open and accepting to all lifestyles, but since I as the leader, am myself a homosexual american (grin) I wanted my LS to be full of people that got along, and didn't care about peoples differences. I don't want to have me and all my friends subject to hate. So I created one that didn't tolerate it. When you join my LS, you know whats up. You know who we are, and wether or not its for you. Thats in my opinion, is way better than allowing people in who don't respect peoples rights, and shout OMG this linkshell is full of queers! And the idea behind it is still very simple. If its not for you, don't join. But if you do, we are open and accepting.
I personally don't want to be in a linkshell full of racists and haters. In mine you know its ok to be who you are and no one is going to freak out. And people like myself can be secure in the idea that they can be who they are and not get ridiculed for it.
And to those of you who are responding to this thread in a positive light, thank you very much. I appreciate it.
