Yeah I dunno what all the fuss is about. Not like Demo ppl are doing anything new if they're botting... and it's not like you can do anything about botters in general by complaining here. If you have an objection to it, don't go, or go with people you trust to not bot (heh) ... or go do salvage or einherjar or something.

JE doesn't camp kings as a mandatory or even semi-regular thing so I guess that side of things doesn't affect me at all ;P (and I don't understand why it affects the main posters in this thread either, since when do you camp kings Ketrel? lol)

I've only had good runs in with people from Demo to be honest, we have dynamis at the same time on Sundays and have had a few conflicts and they've always been pretty approachable and not told us to **** off or anything which is nice. Couple of miscommunications but the leaders have been generally happy to negotiate rather than just do their own thing all the time, and I for one appreciate that. I just wish they used the dynamis calendar or posted their schedule on their website so we could schedule around/with them rather than chasing each other around in the days up to it ;P hint hint ;P

they started botting the god **** xp mobs... it was **** ridicules we pushed um out in the end because we could kill the mobs faster then they could but still ever since then...

I guess, since I have been out of town, I will sum this all up. We say dEMO bots. dEMO comes in and says they dont bot and will kick anyone that bots. I post "The List" as proof. dEMO changes their story to yes they bot. dEMO then says it's ok to have half of dEMO bot because 4 ppl from DB and 1 person from TBC on the list. That's about it.

P.S. I would like to thank all of the dEMO posters for all of the rate downs they allowed the people of Kujata/exKujata to give them.

Nobody is forcing you to post; you come here of your own volition. If you don't want to spend any more of your time here, stop posting. I can **** near guarantee that if Demo people abandon this thread, it will die.

I was hanging in there for a bit with that jedi guy until he started slamming on the Liberal Arts degree / Photoshop class. I'll have you know its pretty **** difficult to get a degree in my field from a reputable university. And then the spelling thing? Seriously?

I'm glad you guys are open to Dynamis scheduling, seeing as how thats the only thing that affects me. In the matter of "Bandwagon" opinions, its is a generally accepted ideal (if not a generally followed one) that cheating is wrong. Its the same as the speeding reference before. Everyone does it, but we all know we shouldn't. People aren't bandwagon-ing here, they're expressing a commonly held belief.

Hell, even you guys admit its wrong, you just do it anyways.

Go Go Demo!!

Lol Gaurda's red headed step child. It makes me laugh so much. Reminds me of the KI threads.

I'll give them one thing. What other LS has a 8 page thread about them? None. Be the famous or Infamous that is now 2 servers who know who they are.

And say what you will, I know lots of players who talk **** about demo but would bend over backwards to get into thier shell. You all talk smack about the shell yet if they said
"Want to join us?" You'd jump on thier bandwagon so fast!

Congratulations Demo, I might not like you all that much as a shell. But God **** I respect you.

P.S Stel is freaking rocking kings now lol. Lots of start ups but it's Stel vs. Div these days.

Go get em!

To be fair, there are like 20 people total that read and post on the Kujata server forums. And quite a few pages of this thread were devoted to insults over spelling. I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that many Kujatans don't know nor do they care who Demo is. Or other egls as a matter of fact.

Also, I find it funny that Garuda has their Bad Player thread stickied haha. Gave me a laugh.

I assure you, this is timid compared the ghosts of drama past.

This whole thread reads more like a jack russell terrier nipping at the heels of the big-dog days of inter-linkshell sniping. At least DB had a few semi-literate people that would surface now and then to make it an interesting read.

To the rest of you, yes others do read the Kujata forums, but not often. Don't let the occasional browser/lurker down, roll out the drama llama parade, **** Demo is full of gil/gear hungry people that don't seem to have anything resembling lives. Perhaps they do, few of us care even a tiny bit. I'd hate to camp against them, but I figure such is e-life in this teen angst-ridden **** contest involving mentally and socially stunted morons with mixed priorities and insufficient employment. How many people out there stop to consider where they stand in regard to that?

If you read back some more you'd see that jedi was only doing it because the demo representative was correcting me. So jedi was kind of just saying how could you correct some one when your full of errors yourself.

This is where I go sub-default.

Kenja is our resident Allakhazam representative, it seems hes the only one that can really stand the stupidity of 90% of the posting population here. If you read through most threads, theres little information only bandwagon jumping.

Honestly, you people make me ill. When your standard zam'er is confronted with ingame accomplishments, it's always retorted with something about their RL. Last time I checked, I couldn't care if you drowned in a shallow pool water, what makes you people think that your little RL jab means anything. Please keep in mind, when I say you people, I mean just about everyone posting in this thread and I mean it in the most derogatory way possible.

People like Kretel should thank Demo if anything else. We don't effect his game, but we give him something to cry about. Something to give himself meaning on this flatulence you call a forum. I'm sure if people like him had nothing to cry about in-game, they would lose all purpose and move on to the next game to cry about.

"your full of errors yourself".. Its you're. I know you tried really hard and spell checked it but even the spellchecker can't fix your twisted abomination of the English language. I'm sure we all make mistakes, but not the amount you do. To err is human, to err all the time is a sign something is wrong.

Yep, I read that part. iiiiiiiit's kind of exactly why I posted. Y'see irony is a powerful thing. It's even better when someone like Jedi kind of just says 'how could you correct someone when you're full of errors yourself?' when he, himself is displaying errors. And the thing I said about 'don't nitpick grammar on a forum' applies to everyone, not just Jedi. It's juvenile.

Now I'll check back again in a week or so, you guys had better have something better than this or I'll be disappointed.

Demo Fun Facts from the Garuda point of view:

1. Demo has many members who are very nice people.
a) Each person in Demo is different and probably joined the shell for their own, varied reasons. Just because you find the shell to be overly aggressive and perhaps arrogant, doesn't mean that "one-on-one" they are not nice people. To them, getting that claim is important business.

2. Not everyone would join Demo if given a chance.
a) The events Demo loves, do not appeal to everyone.
b) Personally, I don't camp anything for 3 hours. EVER! I don't care what the mob drops. To me, it's not worth it to stand around for 3 hours. That's just me. Cartoon items rarely "float my boat", but to each his own.

3. Many players from Demo are very skilled players
a) Like it or not, these guys know this game and play very well. Cheaters or not, they are "better" players than I am. They know more, they have better jobs and better gear. I could not compete.

4. Demo did not leave Garuda because they were not successful.
a) Demo would succeed on any server. Their attitude does not really allow fo failure. If you are willing to do the work, and would even consider losing an account or two by hacking, you will succeed (if that is actually success to you).

5. Demo chose Kujata for a number of reasons.
a) I'm sure Demo's leaders felt they could dominate the HNM/Kings scene on Kujata. This is not an insult, they would do well on most servers. In addition, this was probably not the main reason they chose Kujata.
b) Kujata/Garuda gear prices. I watched FFXIAH and witnessed Demo member stock up on various valuable items before leaving Garuda. These same items were quickly sold on Kujata for a tidy profit.

6. Demo members measure their ingame success by the items they obtain.
a) Right or wrong, this seems to be the truth. It also seems many Demo members can't really understand those of us who don't really care much about the gear or gil.

7. Demo is willing to cheat to get what they want.
a) I don't know if this is still true because I am no longer on the same server they play on, but in the past, they had no problem using 3rd party tools and even losing an account to get what they want.
b) I have a friend who was in Demo, used a 3rd party program, got banned and Demo gave him a new character. Losing the occasional account seems to be the cost of doing business in Demo. To me, playing another character is not a consideration at all.

This is all I can think of for right now.

It's my opinion Demo will probably move to another server one day. I think this migration has been very successful for Demo. With the values of items being so different "server-to-server", why not? Demo members seem to thrive on the drama they create. I would imagine it would be fun to be the "bad guys" if you were with all your friends. "Oh! They are so naughty!!!"

Observation...
When you decide to critique these posts for typos, misspellings and grammar, you are no longer focusing on the topics and ideas. This is a sign the original topic is either finished or you are unable to defend your side of the argument and need to choose an argument you can actually win.

These threads are not only for the English major's and the highly educated. They are for all of us to have a voice and hopefully entertain each other.

I think Daffney's post is quite accurate in suming things up. I find it interesting that anyone from Garuda would spend this amount of time in writing such a well thought out post but **** I'm glad you did. I agree on all her points except two that I feel need a bit of emphasis:

"6. Demo members measure their ingame success by the items they obtain."

I believe that any HNMLS would measure their success by the items they obtain for the sole fact that this is why a HNMLS exists in the first place. Without the drive to get a certain piece of gear, as Daffney has said before, 3 hours is a long time to stand around waiting for a potential claimed mob that may not even drop said piece of gear. Think about it, why do Sky, Salvage, Dynamis, and Limbus shells exist? Sure the fights are a fun part of it, which is also why we measure our success by what we have killed (Vrta for example), but 90% of the people want something in terms of gear from these events, be it for themselves or their teammates.

It's also not that we don't understand the outside people who do not compete in HNMLS. **** all of us were those people at one point. It's a matter that we don't see why people outside the HNM scene bother complaining about us if they're unaffected by any of our actions. If anything, we put additional items in the AH and get people outside HNM valuable items that they would not be able to obtain otherwise.

"7. Demo is willing to cheat to get what they want."

This, in my opinion, is an extention of the last comment. In order to be remain competitive in the HNM scene, botting is almost a requirement. I understand how people say that botting = cheating. Sure it is but in order to compete with others that claim purple spawned mobs, it's a necessary evil. People from other HNMLS that we compete against have already admitted to botting so in order to stay on a level field of competition, botting has become a standard practice in HNM. There's no validation for this nor any rogue sense of justice but I doubt that any HNMLS would spend said 3 hours of windows to be outclaimed if they were not on the same level in terms of claims. The fact that all HNMLS get their share of claims and kills on Kings should show that at least in this case, things are fairly even.

Yeah Kenja, I know what you are thinking...

I refuse to camp a King for 3 hours, but I'll take the time to write a long post about my assumptions of a linkshell that left my server months ago.

When scrolling down to the link to the Garuda thread in Alla, I noticed the latest topic of dicussion for Kujata was this old "Good Luck, You're Gonna Need It" thread. I laughed and thought to myself... What sort of mischief has Demo been getting into lately. This thread was started in June and it's still the most active for this server.

I never had any problems with the members of Demo because I never tried to compete with them for a claim. For the most part they were nice to me. I would imagine they would even help me get an item if I was willing to pay them for their trouble. I kinda saw Demo as the FFXI outlaws or pirates.

I think the people who complain about Demo even though they are not in a competitive HNMls do so because it's fun to voice your opinion on a message board. I don't mind when people disagree with my point of view. It's all in good fun.

Anyone who wants to come to the most famous server in FFXI (home of Pikko, Demo, and Anna). Come to Garuda. The weather's great!

Ok... Go ahead and say it...

GTFO Garuda!
