Watch out for Yaoli for BCNMs. For BCNM40 for peacock charm, we were doing splits. I used my orb when I went first, and very bad luck occurs; I click the chest to open, and the game rather than gives us the items, zones and says we lost. So ok, we're doing splits... so naturally that means I should get 2 more runs in. It was a 3 person match, so each person gets 3 split chances. So we were suppose to re-meet the following day at a certain time. He never showed up. No one that seemed a part of him showed up. So do not waste seals on Yaoli. Big scam.

Sorry you had bad luck, Tomoken, but it's generally a bad idea to do pickup BCs. Save them and do them with your friends who you know and trust. Particularly if you're doing splits, with not being able to send more than 1mil through dbox, it's a particularly difficult situation in today's Vanadiel.
Don'ot count your seals as 'wasted', per se, as they were wasted the second you agreed to a pickup group. Chalk it up to experiance and continue on.

If you're paying someone else to farm for you, then in order for it to be profitable for the consumer of this service, the farmer has to sell the items at lower than current market value to the consumer. The consumer then takes these items and sells them at what the market will bear.
It seems rather obvious, then, that this farmer could be making far more money by simply eliminating his own self-imposed middle man, and selling direct to market.
Then again, i'm an art major. what do i know?

I dunno, I feel kinda sorry for the guy getting pounced on so much for the last post, which seemed to be a change from the others in that it was humble and honest and straightforward. And, I think he's got a point, and that is, if he's doing something himself that doesn't bother other people such as farming mercenary gigs etc. then that's up to him. Sure, it may not be the best way to make money or whatever, but if it works for him, it works for him, and it's not really fair to blast him for that. He seems to understand the point people are making, that is, that in this game it's very difficult to get far in later levels without help and if you've previously been charging others for that they may not look on you so kindly when you later ask them for help. And that's good.
Some of his earlier posts were kinda defensive and stuff but I'm willing to look beyond that because I'm sure if I were to be brought up on a blist thread and I thought it was unfair to do so, I'd defend myself as well. Sure he may not be the most eloquent of people but I think he seems pretty decent at heart.

About a month ago DavidMelendez was shouting for members for BCNM 40 (the one with the P.Charm) i've never done one before so i said what the hey...When i was asking him about how it was split and strategy etc. he told everyone (we had like 6 people going) that he GUARANTEES the win. he went on to say that if anyone dies him and his partner Quann will give them thier orb. Needless to say i died.
It's been a month now and after several attempts to set something up with them they have not made good on their Gaurantee,.
I'm not so mad about it because things happen,. however if you run into them and they say they gaurantee you'll live take it with a grain of salt....

I'm so sorry you even crossed his path. Plenty of people here will inform you of what you may have already found out: he's dumber than a sack of hammers.
My favourite one was the Bibiki Bay party I participated in where he was our leader. We had WHM, SMN, SMN, BLM, THF (him) and a PLD. All that MP, and not a refresh in sight.
We struggled for a while - even got a few chain 3's, but it was pretty futile. In the end, he was begging everyone to stay together, but most of us had already died at least once (and the PLD like twice.)

actually had an experience with him not to long ago,
i got an invite from him on my mnk. I politely turned it down, he asked why and i informed him "well because i know you, i know of you, and iv been in pts with you." now i thought that was pretty clear but he kept asking why to a point where he would spam me..
so i said "im never ganna xp with you again you killed me 3 times in my pt randomly went afk kicked the tank to get a friend of yours in the pt and then went afk again.." he said he didn’t remember (didnt surprise me) so i ignored him.
he had two of his pt members ask me to join both i turned down. then put in my search comment Davidmelends {party} {no thanks}
so he put in his Ketrel crappy player decent challenge disconnects all the time... and so on and so forth.
i was having a nice hard laugh and pointed it out to my ls one of them GMed him while i was offline.
When i get on he spams me with "y you call me GM"..
i knew his English was bad.. but... not saying mine is a dream but come on

Crafter was on one of my ls's yesterday asking 50 million questions... which is fine, but after he asked "Can I charm Marid?" my brain kinda went numb considering that his built in JOB ABILITY (gauge) would have told him: "Crafter cannot charm the Marid!".

really isnt the wised choice drg/whm beats most plds but he isnt known for his wise decitions...

Yeah Ketrel, I got that /tell last night too. I was in Limbus, so I couldn't talk, but he sent me a few "Hello?" before I told him I was a little busy... I'd imagine the content of our discussions would have been of a similar vein to yours.
As far as "ruining his reputation," is concerned, I dont think he should be to terribly concerned. Its not like 100% of the server reads (or, for that matter, listens to) the opinions given in this thread. XP parties will come and go. These days, I'll still go 3 or 4 days in random pickup XP parties before I run into someone I know or have heard of before.
