Atma Merc Shells?Follow

My social (composed of returning players mostly re-rolling toons) is not quite ready for primetime in Abyssea. We are getting there quickly, though :) I, however, am oh so eager to get my hands on RR and VV Atmas and not be a gimpy Abyssea DD anymore. Do any shells on Ifrit do merc runs for people who don't have a linkshell up to the task yet? Any idea what the going rate is? Any advice on how to get set up with a group besides idling in Port Jeuno listening to shouts?

Thanks a ton!

Don't know any LS which sells Atma, but why not just wait a bit and do it with your LS, since it's "getting there quickly" anyway?

* * *

I'd price it at 1-2 mil, comparable to Belt Belt items*. It takes a bit of work to get the key items for the pop set, and the fight with Ironclad Pulverizer isn't exactly a walk in the park for everyone (who don't already have the skills, gears, and the top Atmas). Plus, the merc group have to bring people to trigger red !! weakness if they hope to get paid.

* I knew an LS which advertised 1 mil for BB items, then made the people who showed up bid against each other; had a friend who was out bid after the price went over 4 mil. Be glad that it's harder to milk the customers like when it comes to Atma--at worse, you may have to bid for seating. At least if the Atma drops, you will automatically get it instead of being forced to pay more while the clock is ticking on the treasure pool.

I'm sure there are linkshells that would do it, if you hire an entire LS to do it though it would be a hefty price cause everyone in the alliance there would want to get paid a good sum of cash. Also obtaining the key items from the lesser NMs can be work to even pop the main NM that you want. So we're talking 2 mil plus. It's best to just be patient and work with your own on obtaining them. The NMs that drop your Atmas you want really aren't that difficult if everyone works together.

Think 2 mil would be on the high side, now many more groups are able to get those kinds of Atma. For example:;
750k is the quote price there, but that's not Ifrit, of course.

In any case, should re-emphasis that "Get the Atmas with your own LS" is the better route.
