After not playing for over 5 years I returned to FFXI and Ifrit today.
The first thing I did after logging in was to work on unlocking the Dancer job. I clicked a Cavernous Maw and got spit out in Sauromugue Champaign. Idiot me clicked the Maw again right away and went back to the present time.
So now I have no way of going back in time to the past without the help of 3 other people to get past the Banishing Gates in Garlaige Citadel? Is there no other way or am I screwed?
Like I said, I haven't played in 5 years; I don't know a single person or have any friends on the server. I tried asking around for help but didn't get any response.
Is anyone able to help out or is there another way I don't realize?

Go through the Maw in Rolanberry Fields.
Other than the first Maw that it spit you out of, you can only travel to the past through Maws that you have unlocked. You unlock Maws by finding them in the past and travelling through them into the present.
Since your first Maw is Sauromogue Champaign (bad break), you can only get to the past through that Maw. You have two options, and both require assistance. You can get 3 friends to help you get through the banishing gate, or you can go on a low level job, die, and get somebody to Tractor/Raise you onto the ledge. If you go with option 2, be sure to bring along oils and powders because you will need to run through the past to unlock another Maw.
