Pancakes and waffles are the same thing, except waffles have little squares in them.

Pancakes are cooked on a griddle, waffles are cooked in a waffle iron. Therefore, the two are not the same thing. Waffles are considerably more crisp, while pancakes on the other hand are more fluffy. Imo pancakes > waffles.

personally i perfer the the large light and fluffy Waffles, the little holes are great for holding syrup until it soaks in.

Waffles.

'Cuz you can spread butter over the top of the waffles, and they soak into the little squares so nicely, then you pour a covering of syrup over them to complete the heart attack sammich! Just add bacon!
