Heya! As the years on FFXI have gone by, I have decided that it is time to quit following people and make a LS. With this responsibility, I needed to clean up how I word things, how I talk to people; and in order to gain respect I must give respect to the ones I want respect from. So after much cleaning up; I believe I am ready to start a shell of my own. Here are the listing of what the LS is about, and the LS site.

The LSs name is called Enigma, a Sky LS based on attempting drama-free Endgame LS. The website is www.ffxienigma.proboards61.com -- Register here for your application.

This LS will be like no other(please don't flame), It will have very strict rules; and more or less less: If fighting occurs non-stop from players..they will be removed. This is a game to have fun, not a game to bicker.

This LS will also be doing Dynamis with the JP leader Ingram. Which runs a very nice smooth LS as well. He is a very good leader, but the times are very odd with those of you who have work in early mornings. ExileForce is also a LS I do Limbus with, and as a sackholder of that LS; I can speak with Showmo if you wish to participate. ^^

Also a Thanks to the many LSs I spoke to, giving me advise how to handle money drops and Item drops as well. Kilik being one of those players from FateSealers. Which also got his relic Shield the other day, Grats^^ And thanks to other un-named friends as well. ^^ Take care Ifrit

Despite the rumors I have heard of Esca, and my encounters with him long time ago; I have heard good things about Enigma. They have not done sky but once yet(When they were new), but the people seem friendly; and Esca seems to have calmed down a bit, and seems to know what he is doing.

Thumbs up to the LS ss far, I'll post my application in there soon, after a week or so. Have things to do before I get into Endgame again. Not messing with HNM tho.

I like the idea of silence instead of chainstun... chainstun is actually a bad way to counter sazuka -.-; At the same time ES silence likely wouldn't stick off a BLM and RDM/DRK is more usefull than /blm over all so I don't find it likely most LS will get it to work, none the less its still a good idea.

You're a hypocrite. You say you are going to begin respecting people? That's a lie. You just called me a "worthless monk" in Caedarva Mire.

First off, if you didn't want any drama then you should have just let the topic die Esca, but since you felt a need to defend yourself, the drama llama will make a visit.

I don't know if you have MNK leveled, but as I'm sure every good MNK on this forum can attest to, boosting whenever it is up will only result in the MNK receiving excessive hate and becoming an MP sponge. This is all speculative though, so let's talk numbers.

With 334 base attack, without food or buffs or anything, and 221 base defense, again no food or buffs, the average damage output on an IT mob in Mire is roughly 42-43. With boost the damage is increased to 45-46. Yes, the extra 2-3 damage every 15 seconds does sound nice, if it were free.

Boost increases a player's attack by 12.5%, while the AF gloves essentially multiply the boost attack enhancement by 1.5x. With the AF gloves on, attack is boosted by 18.75%. If 12.5% adds the minute 2-3 damage, an extra 1-2 damage at the cost of time for gear swapping and possible healer aggravation is hardly worth it.

Finally, it is understood that boost's enmity increase is roughly equal to 1/3 that of provoke. MNKs already have hate issues from intense job abilities, traits, and weapon skills. If boost is used every time it's up, then the delay on normal attacks is interrupted, and hate is gained. While already stealing hate from most tanks, MNKs certainly don't need to be using provoke every 45 seconds.

You said that this "worthless MNK" was wasting the $72 of the party by not boosting every chance he gets. However, it is entirely in the best interest of the party to sacrifice 5-6 damage so that the tank can keep hate and MP will not be wasted.

It's a simple number game, should probably learn to play the algorithms before pretending they don't exist.

Completely false. You did say something in say about boost being on a 10 second timer. Yes, that is more or less correct. You also mentioned equipping AF hands. I will admit that I do not have them and I probably never will. That is my decision and it's really not as big of a problem as you make it out to be. I've been doing great damage up to now without them. I'm sure I can handle it as I progress too.

Since more of your complaint revolves around my choice in hand gear, I will elaborate further.

I currently use Republic Mittens. They are a level 15 hand gear, HP +3, MP +3, ATK +3 DEF 5. Level 15. I totally agree with you, they are pretty low level and there's better stuff out there to wear. The ideal hand gear to wear at this level would most likely be an O. Kote. However not all of us have 1 million to spare and as such I cannot afford them. Regardless, the +3 attack on my hands do contribute to my attack.

Now then, the rest of this piece of your post attacks the rest of my gear. I'll quote the exact part so you know what I'm talking about.

Notes: Even with this, I still take hate from time to time.

DEF: 4, STR +3, ACC +5, Store TP +1
Notes: The ACC boost really helps as well as the extra 1.5 atk :)

Earrings: Spike Earring x2

ATK +5, EVA -5
Notes: That's +10 ATK. That's a ton.

Body: Scorpion Harness
Level: 57
DEF: 40, HP +15, ACC +10, EVA +10
Notes: Enough said, increases ACC by a lot.

Hands: Republic Mittons
Level: 15
DEF: 5, HP +3, MP +3, ATK +3
Notes: We've gone over this already.

Ring 1: Tiger Ring
Level: 59
DEF: 3, AGI +2, ATK +2
Notes: Might need to upgrade this but the ATK+2 is nice.

Ring 2: Assailant's Ring

Notes: Helps with attack.

Back: Amemet mantle +1
Level: 61
DEF: 8, STR +2, ATK +15, RATK +15
Notes: I love this thing. It helps with attack so much.

Waist: Life belt

ACC +10
Notes: While a brown belt would be better, I do prefer the accuracy boost.

Legs: Bastokan Subligar
Level: 25
DEF: 12, VIT +1, ATK +3, RATK +3
Notes: Yes, it is a level 25 piece of gear. I realize this. But the boosts from it are great and as far as I know there's not much else that's better out there. Also, it's fun to talk about my panties.

Feet: Windurstian kyahan
Level: 25
DEF: 5, ATK +3, RATK +3
Notes: Yep, another level 25 piece of gear. Again, it helps with attack and I do not think there is anything better that is worth me spending my money on just yet. However like the legs, I haven't been able to check the AH in a few levels. I switch these out for my AF legs when I get hate on occasion.

From my gear alone, that is an additional 33ish attack or so. That's a lot. So before judging my gear based on level alone, take a look at the stats themselves.

atleast upgrade to Combat Caster's mitts lvl 40 +5 att it cheap but atleast better than what you got on.get either woodsman or/and sniper rings on so you can wear a brown belt. as for feet lol um try looking up kung fu shoes lvl 51 or wulong shoes lvl 66 (please do not post why look the info up for yourself). Do not EVER go to the monk forums and ask what they think about your gear(it will be just to brutal to watch). Well hope you like the few hints i gave i would say more but i dont have all day

as i said earlier 2 sniper/woodsman an a brown belt would be better set up. +8 haste +5 str 10 acc will out perform 7att 10 acc +2 agi

the 5 STR and 8% haste is better than 10 acc since he should be eating sushi and using focus/dodge/zerk in xp
