Haha, yes Wendigo. See I knew people knew who I was talking about. I have had similair run ins with him, minus actually going to his party.

One day I get a blind invite, so I /tell "Hello?" and he doesnt reply so I turn it down. He again invites. So I /tell "why are you inviting me?" He replies "I need help for a friend" so I reply "So you just blind invite people, is that seriously how you go about things at this level?" His reply "I am sorry I have offended you, I wont bother you again." 5 minutes later... blind invite.

Level 70 Paladin.. Same exact thing but for xp.

Level 72 Paladin... Almost same exact thing but I reply with /blist add Wendigo

While I'm not a huge fan of this thread I must speak my peace.
A thief that cannot get SATA within 10 seconds of battle start at lvl 60, is usless.
A thief that cannot pull timely and without links, is useless.
A thief that does not SATA onto the tank, but instead immediately jumps behind the drk and SATA's onto him, is useless.

Moral of the story: Batty (who subs ranger, but for reasons unknown does not see mobs in camp or near camp, but pulls far mobs) is a poor thief. He did not successfully land an SATA on me in the three hours of partying. I do not endorse this thief for any kind of invite.

i was in bibiki bay at 64 leveling on the birds when... our pt member replacement show up. WENDIGO

anyways he decides its wise to spam stone for 4 damage over and over and over...

i finaly ask him what he is doing.... and i get a "im trying to cap my elemental magic."

Heh heh. I've only had the pleasure of partying with Wendigo once. I don't recall him doing anything really really bad or anything...on the contrary I recall it being an entertaining experience. Then again, it was a Quifim party so there was much more room for silliness and strange playstyle. ;)

Yes. Having fun is what the game is about. I rarely take anything seriously in game, with the exception of long-term friendships I've made there.

But it's common sense that in game (as in real life) you don't waste other peoples time/money. You don't screw around so much that you are ruining someone else's ability to progress and have fun. You don't invite people half way across Vanadiel, only to kick them when they get to camp so your friend can join. You don't make party set ups so bad people can smell a wipe before they even get to camp. You don't get entire parties/zones killed. They've paid their $13 and put many hours (months, even years) into their character. It's not hard to respect that and still have a good time^^

The people who can't respect that are the ones who end up on the naughty list. (If all it took was bad jokes, believe me I'd be on it.)

Wendigo Stole My Bike.

Well, in true spirit here's my two cents (or gil if ou prefer):

Bad

Hmm there's a number of players I've partied with as bad but none stick out like this guy:

Onaku - partying in Khazam as 25MNK/6WAR is a Rank 1 Elvaan from Windhurst. Onaku setup a party based upon DD only (no mages at all!) though luckily we managed to get a PL'er otherwise I would have left and spent another 4 hrs seeking. Wasn't too bad - did alright until PL'er left and our MNK leader still pulled (yes pulled!) goblins believing we could beat them easily at lvls 25-27. Needless to say he died, I left. Gear focused on STR and HP and no sign of any key mnk equipment - he used bloodstone for waist item!

Like I said there has been a few who's names I can not remember (the war/whm who kicked me from a party after I told him a great axe would be a better weapon compared to his polearm, and the War/Mnk who didn't know what tanking was at lvl 28)

There's also been some great players (way too many to mention, and some that I'm sorry to say I've forgotten the names of - yes shame on me.) But one's I do like: Winterz (that cheeky little taru whm), Kataaro (no job that he doesn't know how to play well), Seravar (excellent mnk), and the majority of the Ifritselite Linkshell who are always there to help others out.

well, "Keltin" someone in my LS, isnt a very good player, to say the least.

first he leveld only two jobs really, blm and smn. they are now both 30. but since then he is lvling like wild between all other jobs. he startet nin like around 12, war is 8-10 now. latetly i saw him rdm/drk (07/03)...

to top that he is nerving our LS since weeks about doing mission 2-3 with him and others who need it. so several weeks agog we did it but he had not time...can happen.

this weekend, on saturdays, he was so ennerving again, that we got together a full pty for that mission. on sunday, when they started and all stood already on the burning cirlce...oh how surprise...he forgot some talks with an npc and couldnt join.
if someone other from the pty wouldn have done evrything needed the whole thing would have been for ass..not to mentioned some ppl were pissed about him ;)

he maybe a good person in real life, but i already refuse to help him in such missions cause i know i gotta die if i do so help him...lol

Teleporting has gotten way!! out of hand. so im when im on and there im offering free teleports to anyone that sends me a tell. u will see my shouts if im around. Just my way of fighting the rising costs on the servers these days. also sorry to my fellow whm's who are trying to make a buck but like 3k a tele thats alittle crazy my friends. see u all in the game!

Yea so I'm lvling my 60ish rdm @ this point in Valley of Sorrows right? and we get a replacement drk......WENDIGO! <All Right!>. It was funny haven him for one reason, the priceless >:O face the pld gave when wendigo ripped hate right off his ass and then dies.

How does he do this? Lets review for a moment...60Drk/war gets Arcane Circle, Last Resort, Weapon Bash,Souleater, Provoke,Berserk, and Defender. He spams all but one of these JA's, I'll let ya have the pleasure of guessing which (roflmfao) o.o

Dianara has claimed to be joking about all the claims, but it strikes me as back-pedaling after getting called on it.

i recently lvled in Valkrum with a player namedElway, he was a whm there but i don't know his main job. Anyway he ditched the party mid battle just after he DINGed 20 without warning. Also someone else in my LS was lvling with him around 32, and he also bailed on them, and wanted to know if it was ok that he took all the seals that dropped.

Lol, I never thought I would see my brother on this forum. I'll be sure to tell him someone think's he's good.

I remember you Slacker...You can be on my list anyday...now which to put you on...=P LMAO

Valron makes my list of best person to play against you when you are running a casino :P *cough*

Excellent players, each knew they're job well and the party gelled together very well. Excellent XP/HR rate. Pity we couldn't party longer but will happily party with any of these guys again.

{Word} Acina (aka Ace) is in my ls. Indeed she is a wonderful player who's always going the extra mile- whether it's researching her jobs to gain a broader understanding or making sure everyone gets a cheerful hello when they pop in.

And yeah we all know Technolust is awesome, but he pulled a random act of kindness the other night that reminded me why everyone loves the guy. Lets just say he helped support/prepare me for my 5th shot at Maat when I was ready to say scrap that ferbnerking job. 2 years of play only to recieve 5 repeated asswhoopings tends to shake ones confidence. However, it does soften the blow when friends step up and say "hey get back out there, you don't suck". Thank you again Tech.
