Best and Worst players on IfritFollow

To me to be one of the worst players you have to do the worst things over and over and over but if you judge someone from making a mistake you really wouldn't know if they are really good or not.

I thought this was funny, because his "safe way" was killing 11 lichs in 2 hours. I went with my LS the next day and killed 4 lichs in under 5 minutes. Oh btw, I got my paper on 4th lich.

I also found this quite funny, seeing as how you blamed me for something that a RNG did. It's a good thing I was dead though from when the bats were pulled, or we might not have been able to escape!

I love how people make up bullsh*t quotes, I do have to congrat binary on the great quote on me though.

Hmm these things (best/worst threads) are a powderkeg of flame and hurt feelings waiting to go off. I'm sure I'm not on anyone's best list due to the fact I constantly DC. (Not my fault but I hope you all understand I have the world's worst internet connection, satellite internet from Iraq, for another 3 months then I get back to buff-net status.) I really like playing this game and leveling and so on and I hope that my wife joins in with me. (She may go Matrix Online on me then I have no hope at all.) I'm off topic. I notice most of the people on these worst lists are higher level than me? How is this so? Are they getting PL help? Or am I doing something wrong? Well off I go to level NIN or something to LV30......

Alright, I have been reading this from the start, I guess it's time to do my list.


Best Players:

Aiolos - This guy just generally rules, no matter what job he is playing he kicks ass at it. And when it comes time to help out, he will do it, and if something goes wrong he understands and just keeps on plugging. One of the best people on the server.

Elizabeta - My IRL best friend, so I have to put them here.

Isisgirl - She's a total sweetheart and a badass blackmage (and whm when it fancies her). She always knows whats going on and is totally down to business when it comes time to get sh*t done. That and she's hot.

Cuban - Cuban is the Deus Ex Machina. Ninja, Ranger, whatever it doesn't matter. Cubby just kicks the bottom.

Athel - She's my favourite Taru in the whole world, and everyone needs to love on her. nuff said.

Truegoddess - Along with 'beta, she's sort of been a steadfast when it comes to leveling. We've always been in the same level range and when it comes time to make a party she's always the first WHM I look for. She's never let me die, and I return the favour.

Rikus - Out of nowhere he grabbed me for my Eldieme Key a while back, picked up a bunch of 65+ on the way and pulled me out there and got me my key in 20 minutes. I never got to thank him enough for this. Plus the dude just knows how to tank.

Arwynsprings - She saves my ass too many times to count, and she has a "gil for n00bs" fund that I wish was around when I first started.

Every single person in the Genesis LS. We don't always have the most dynamic and fun loving LS, but when it comes time to get things done, everyone is always willing to lend a hand.


Bad Players:

I have partied with a lot of them, but I believe everyone deserves a second chance.... or in some cases a third or fourth.

Techno, I dont judge people like that. What's interesting is the fact that I met someone in the past few days who judged me and did not like me because of my posts on here. He said I complained too much... which I dont think I do. Yea, i complain on this thread, but isnt that what its here for? My other posts arent complaining, they're offering insightful views, on the state of our economy, and community. If anyone has a problem with what I say on here, no need to take it in game, bring up your problems on here, we'll have it out on here. What i say on alla has nothing to do with how I act in game. Try to work things out with me before you go in-game.

The only reason I post on these best/worst players threads is to give recognition to those who deserve it, and to clear my reputation. I know that after a bad experience, the person will tell multiple people, and word will get around. In all of these instance, I don't feel that I'm at fault, so I bring it here to offer everyone who hears of me, the other side of the story, since they may not be able to talk to me about it.

If you dont like what I say, just dont talk to me. I dont wanna talk to you either. Saves alot of problems.

Edit: This may come across at me bitching at techno, im not. I'm bitching at whoever decides to be an ass about what I say here. Techno's a good guy

As for Genesis, they can be bitchy and moody at times, I'll agree with that. But I've yet to find an LS that isn't. Sort of that whole human nature bit.

Haha, I've had him blisted for some /sh spam long time ago but recently I had to clean my /blist to make more room for casinos and their patrons so I had removed him and got into a party with his THF56/NIN24...
First thing the RDM got lost (in Boyhada Tree...) so I was directing him to the party while Khadafi was, probably, joking giving opposite directions. Dumb RDM was following both and we could not get him to camp until I asked Khadafi to stop. His awesome equipment (THF AF knife) was responsible for 150 damage fuidama, the party was 54-55 and we were camping at Aquarius part for wooping 120 base exp per crab. So say in /t to the leader that I am leaving when my food wears off then about 40 minutes into a party (and 10 minutes before my food wears, we've spent 10 minutes playing with the lost RDM) RDM says he is @64 or something similarly small, I decide it's a good moment to anounce that I am leaving after he levels. Khadafi starts isulting me, I Warp right away. I honestly don't know how did he get to 56 with that attitude, subjob and equipment.

Wow i just keep coing back for more. Some people i ave either met or have been on my frinds list and i've gotten to know better recently.
Navyr - awesome to talk to awesome thf/nin/whm and a whole trove o other things i've partied with him as
Elizabeta - oh lordy she tackles hard >.<
Movien - even though you left me!!!!
Necrosis - now this guy is thuroughly awesome i was leveling my subjoib out in kazham and i had spent all my gil i had on me on equipment (had to borrow gloves from a ls mate cause i didn't have neough >.<) but newat when i dinged to 27 he bought me a scroll of Protect II and Protectra II. also when our paladin showed up with a nin sub... just give you a sec to absorb that..
and only Beetle armor... and i mean only nothing else but two swords and beetle armor... Necrosis fully equi[ed him in chain mail, earings, rings and what not... then went and droped 200k on a Shade Harness +1 for himself O.o.

This isn't entirely true anymore, I've found something in real life to keep myself busy and a tad less cynical towards others (Unless they bring it up first). /cheer Marines Assault Unit.

Oh, forgot to put Omacore onto the list of great peeps.. He keeps repairing my broken alchemy-built Rods/items (Darn you Arrowwood logs in Cheval River!).

A person that recently has gotten on my bad side is Fabian.. reason? Mass Jeuno /random (Unblockable) spam at the AH (L. Jeuno) for around 15-25 minutes.. either he was just very stupid.. very bored.. or was trying to make people laugh.. I really don't know or care.. the newer players were confused and disturbed.. so that's all that matters >_>

Append on Sniffles to the the nicer/better players list.. she's just really friendly and likes taking her time leveling THF.. unlike some speed levelers who just care about XP that I know of >_<

Worst player on Ifrit: Ginkan, deceptive s.o.b. who drags everyone of his friends down with his depression and sadness and gloats over people he doesn't like by showing off his gear. Fortunately he quit so now the world is better off.

This was a great idea. Not only does it praise those who've been helpful and mindful of others, but it can also help people realize that their actions do have certain consequences.

Thankfully, I've seen more of the former than the latter. Heres just some of my favs:

well.. it breaks down like this..

first i was in MCK (MarcCourtKnights) which is my friend and coworker Talonz' Linkshell with just us and some other RL friends of his. I was given this LS when i started but most of the guys were in there mid-late 30s.

then i met some amazing cats while lvling through the dunes (denior and ravenspell) who gave me a pearl for Untouchables which was my main LS for a long time... somewhere between lvl 40-50 when most of the guys started slowing fading away from ffxi with RL stuff, at this time i migrated back to MCK because i was now within their lvl range

i should also add around this time that i was given a few other pearls most of which i don't remember the names for, none of them really appealed to me and my needs so i dropped them, bout the only ones i was intersted in being in were the ones given to me by nghia (amazing pld) but they were always abandoned i would tell him this and he would be like 'oh, gotta get you a new one' lol

so MCK was my jam again until the release of WoW when nearly everyone (all 6 people lol) migrated games. That's when i made the post that i was seeking a new LS and/or perma PT (a few of you may remember that post) I also bought a LS and named it PBS (PossessedBySatan) after my RL writing/graffiti clique, but to this day i have no one else in it, and its collecting dust.

well within a week i had a new LS: TA (ToonAdventurers) with some amazing folks 9Daithi/Squidy, Pooter, Toony, Loony, Killertoon, Gamefreak, Morbid etc.) AND i was in the process of forming a perma with some other great people (Arcadeus, Hobbes, Effin, Kujamie, Sniffles) being that Hobbes, Sniffles and Arc were all in the same LS they gave me a pearl to TTK (TheThreeKingdoms) to keep in touch with them, so now the LS count is at 4 (I still keep MCK and untouchables in the hope that people will one day come back)

Shortly after joining TTK, i ran into Obie a great player on our server not only because of her skill, but also for her generosity, and personality. She asked me if i would like a pearl to her LS and i gratiously accepted, afterall some of my fav peeps were in her LS (Jedix, Navyr, Obie, Binarycow, Chaddenick, Skeeter, Saladhead , ect.)

and that's where i'm at currently. I love all the LSs i have, but it's so hard for me to spend a lot of time in all of them. I have grown pretty accustomed to having TTK on and i can usually be seen toting that one (i think it has the most members and is pretty active 24 hours a day, which i've learned can be a good thing and a bad thing lol) Ideally I would like to start my own and give pearls to all of my favorite people out there in ifrit, but i doubt that anyone would spend any time in mine, especially when it's just starting out and there will be little to no people on most of the time, but a taru can dream...

I still pop into all my LSs just to say hi and see if anyone needs help with anything or if anyone can help me with anything i'm working on. but overall i still really feel like a drifter.. nobody knows me IRL no one calls me by real name (I actually doubt there are any people who even know it, aside from the cats in MCK), hell most of the time people aren't even paying attention to me unless i'm slamming random letters on the keyboard in caps lock because i'm drunk and frustrated (/poke daithi). I get by with what i have tho, and have made some amazing friends, as well as had some sweet convos and gotten to accomplish a lot of things heretofor. still I dream of that lS that makes me feel liek part of a family /sigh

One of the worst happened to me tonight:
Wilder
Started a lb1 quest party with him, myself and Iker got high level help and Wilder was just along for the ride, never trying to find more help. He did happen to be pt leader though. Before we even started everyone agreed I would get the first paper that dropped. After an hour one finally dropped, Wilder quickly turned on quartermaster, gave it to himself, then turned it back off hoping no one would notice. Of course we did however and I was pissed since it was rightfully mine. His excuse was that QM is there for a reason, for some reason I think think it is there to be dishonest. Of course 5 minutes later he goes afk then death warps out and leaves the pt. I stayed for another 40 minutes, but eventually had to logand we didn't get anymore drops. So to Wilder, I will never help you again and if I ever get an invite to a pt you are in I will disband immediately. I am also letting everyone else I can know how dishonest you are and to never help you with anything.
