Always sell crystals in stacks of 12, they're difficult if not impossible to sell individually.

Don't be looking to NPCs for weapons and armor, they sell it far more expensively than the AH usually; but do double check before simply buying from AH. http://www.ffxiah.com/ is a great tool for that (it only measures the Jeuno AH, but in most cases armor etc is more expensive in the main cities due to lowbie demand, so if it's costly in Jeuno it'll likely be more from the city).

Always have signet on to increase your crystal gains.

Kill lots of rabbits outside sandy, their hides and meat sell surprisingly well. Bees are good too but I don't think there are many of those around your area.

There's lots of great gear that can also be extremely cost effective; check the Warrior class forum, their sticky has some pretty comprehensive info I believe.


Edit: There's a whole sentence that's being eaten by some process in the forums. I can't seem to rewrite it to make it not freak out. I've petitioned the admins but until then you'll just have to bear with the broken sentence lol :(

I knew about Price History but as with most things in FFXI the interface is so clunky it's often hard to understand. It just had a spatter of numbers everywhere and since the prices varied so widely I didn't know what price was correct.

I find it funny that people can look at a topic and then make a completely useless post to try and either condescend a player or try and mae themselves look superior instead of maybe offering some advice. A little help might have gone a long way here? I suppose a big man like you wipes your elitist ass with nubs like me.

Wow. I dunno what to say. Good luck in life with that attitude (although I dislike actually insulting people, I like the way you do it). The topic wasn't useless because it helped me therfore it served a purpose so stfu. I agree that the interface is fine but it is clunky when compared to other MMORPGs and if you disagree you've never played another MMO.

I can understand the interface just fine but there was one time where the prices varied too much to be able to decide on a price (which is probably where a more advanced player would apply their knowledge of the economy). I never said I was looking for a game that babies me, I was looking for help on a game that is more difficult than the average MMO (I used to play WoW and I much prefer the challenge in FFXI).

Can you please realize that I'm not a retard. Have you never needed help (rhetorical question btw)? I don't want to start a war with anyone. I just wanted a bit of help and I can't see why you feel the need to call me a retard for asking a perfectly legitimate question (which you've probably asked before).

P.S. You ever heard of RMT? If you did you'd know why there are so many 75s that cant't play their job you ass. >.>

P.S.2. I really like how you construct your posts and I feel reasonably insulted. That's never happened on a forum before. If anyone on these boards was to flame me it should be you. Ever considered insulting people as a profession?

Yeah, I play the game too, I make no pretenses about that. But I'm not calling those folks fruitcakes/losers/etc, or degrading them for a hobby they enjoy and often make very nice money at, while providing goods/services, entertainment, and/or education for others. I dont go there to dress up, I go there to laugh and support local talent, which is far more worthy of my money than big business.

Cosplay is an entirely different scene, thats more akin to halloween for a weekend to my mind, but without the candy. I'm not gonna slam someone for a hobby i dont particularly enjoy when they obviously do. But then, i don't make a habit of making a complete halfwit of myself insulting random folks and thinking I'm cool for it, either.

Also, seriously, who wakes up at weird times to camp kings anymore? I make it when I can, and don't bother if its outside my time window, and I still get my loot. Only drop I really lack from kings is ebody, and been that way for a while now. Save the weird hour camping for folks in college who're gonna be awake anyways.

Yeah, a shell with folks like BBS and Louis (since they're the only other folks populating the brenden thread)...I'd rather have 5 live-in cosplayers than be stuck with them around again, sorry. I kicked them from my social shell long ago for good reason. Antipathy is mutual, etc.

And whether or not someone is a loser is technically a matter of opinion as well, but I suppose you don't really worry about little technicalities like that when they get in the way of acting like a big bad internet badass and such.

I wouldnt actually worry about him, I've not seen him in the game for ages (not saying he doesnt play, just saying I never seem to run into him), and its of course rather easy to ignore people in the forums here if you want. Main reason i spoke up was a couple of lousy days at work and feeling the need to vent, normally I ignore him here too, since he's not worth the time in general.

1. Pogle is a tool. This is a fact everyone should know, but doesn't. It's like the Euler's (spelling), unproven theorem. There is a proof for it, but it took 300 pages.

2. Norellicus is a tool. This is based on symmetry and the fact that Norellicus and Pogle are the same person.

3. Alla is good for flaming. Duh.

4. I blow glass. Not amazing, and I haven't worked at it since college, but I sure made an ass-load of ornaments. I also do metal working, but not the wrought-iron stuff Pogle has a fetish for.

5. Kings are dumb and I still need a tongue and an egg.

6. Gonna put on 5 pounds staying with the in-laws this week. woot. Lost 20 lbs prior, so this will give me an easy head start on the new-year's resolution.

7. Might get a job in North Carolina. /wave <pogle>. Don't worry, plenty of interviews still rolling, don't know where I'll pick.

Nope, no Fable 2. I bought Fable used a while ago, but after watching someone play it I'll never touch it. Game mechanics look annoying as anything. Don't know squat about Fable 2, but I'm sure its more of the same.

Besides, who has time for that when there's Gears2 and Fallout3?
