Dragoon Party. Do you need it?Follow

Hey folks, this is for all you dragoons at there that despair of ever getting a party.

Level a mage sub! White mage, red mage, even blue mage. To 37. Make sure you have your Drachen Armet.

After some inspiration from Bines, I've been looking around for other drgs around my level (67 right now) to group up with.

What we (Bines and I) found is that if you have 2 drg/mages and then an "other" to DD and bounce hate, and don't have to worry about aoe, drg parties can be pretty nuts.

Had another party with Niodysus and Efrem (both drg/mage, as was I), and it was even more nuts.

So if you despair of finding a party post-60, look for drgs your level. Recruit them. Level with them. 3 people, and you're off to the races :)

That being said, for anyone (as of the 24th) around 65-68 on Gilgamesh, I've started taking names of dragoons that have taken part in this wild fun, or have expressed interest:

Dragoons!

Janie (me!): 68drg with rdm, blm, whm sub
Niodysus: 67drg with whm (and maybe other) sub
Efrem: 66drg with blu (and maybe other) sub
Bines: 68drg with rdm (and maybe other) sub
Kerope: 68drg with pretty much any sub

Not Dragoons, but tolerant of our lifestyle choice!
Kakusaijin (aka Fred): 67thf
Kysmet: 70brd
Cattattack: 68pup

I'll edit this with more people and hopefully better level ranges when I can. I'll see what I can do about keeping it up to date also.

See? This is what the 2 handed buff has given us. DRG burns. The lol's are going to be many.

I'm not against this btw: I 'solo'ed my MNK from 51 to 71, so I'm very aware of how fun small man Aht Urgan groups can be. It makes me wish WHM didn't have an E in Evasion... 6 f'ing hexastrikes!

That's awesome, Kysmet. Though I think you'll get through to 75 faster than any of us.

We really will start to need a brd, cor, or rdm around 69-70 though, I'm pretty sure. Colibri will dry up, and I don't know any good non-aoe mobs in the AU areas for that gap between Colibri and their cousins, the...uh...greater colibri.
