Did this 3 times last night with some friends.

#1 Timed out on the third level, no coins.

#2 Cleared third level with about 5 minutes remained and warped out, 400+ish coins.

#3 Cleared second level, didn't have much time left, so we warped out, 250ish coins.


The randomness makes it original each time, but you have to move fast.

The third time we were doing ok, but we ran into a NM frog that was a dominator, so he slowed us down.

After the "successful mission" the second time. We checked the Nyzel assault orders guy about saved floors. All of us but the one person that actually clicked the first lamp when we zoned in said "0 floor saved."

The clicker said his said "3 floors saved." But, then we tried to have him do the first lamp again, but he said the only option he had was to start on the 1st floor.

I've already read a few threads about some people that made it to the fifth floor in one run, but no one has said they were able to start on any floor but the first yet.

Anyone figure this out yet? If so, please share.

Our current theory is that either you have to do 5 floors in one run, or.... you can only teleport to the lowest level that anyone in the party has saved.

We made it to floor 5 the other night, NIN/NIN/WAR/WHM/RDM/BRD.

The "Defeat specified target" thing is such bullcrap. It doesn't actually specify the target. We ran through the zone with this Tiger that we aggroed for a while, and after searching every corner of the zone, we couldn't find any monsters that were any different than the others.

So we kill the tiger because it was obnoxious. Mission objective complete.

So a bunch more info has been released about this stuff.

Vespaa got a Bat Cape this afternoon from it off of Old Two-Wings, and a lot of people have claimed that Fafnir does in fact not drop Ridill.

I admit some of the new armor they put in there looks nice, but I'm personally not giving up tags for it...

Anyone else feel the same way?

Personally, my feeling about Nyzul is that its AWESOME in theory, but pisses me off to *no* end in practice. The only thing that makes me want to keep doing it is I've kind of got a static of six people who are fun to do things with, and thus, I have people to shout at my computer with :D

I'm in Vespaa's static and we made it to Floor 50 last night - there are quite a few NM's and we have seen a couple drops with Bat Cape being the highest gil item. Drop rate isn't great, but really probably not any worse than in-game NM's from what I can see.

We have only fought Fafnir (floor 20) and Behemoth (floor 40) and both were stingy and didn't drop squat, but there is a lot of information out there that shows the HNM on floor 20,40,60,80,100 drop the new armor - Askar, Denali, and Goliard.

We've had a few runs we lost but have done very well for the most part. Our typical setup of well geared folk is:

NIN, THF, RDM, BRD, BLM, and one pickup person usually a NIN but that's just how luck has been with the pickups. I have a Storm Fife which makes MP regen fairly nice and our THF is one of the best MGS people I know (Metal Gear Solid), so he's quite good at bringing only the mobs we need back to us. Shoot me a /tell in game if you need more info about it.

The lamps are tricky but basically there are 3 configurations of lamps.

First configuration - everyone needs to touch the lamp at the same time (easy)
Second - Lamps need to be lit in a specific order - we seem to do well with everyone staying together then one person staying at a lamp as we find them along the way. We then light them and once they are all touched some will either stay on or all will go off. If some stay on then they were touched at the right point in the order (ie the 3rd lamp pressed stays on then it is always 3rd in the order and flip the other 4 to fit around this - just keep trying and be logical and it's not too bad)
Third - light all the lamps at the same time - again spread out and just have everyone hit theirs at the same time.

As for saving, once you complete floor 5, then choose the "Exit Assault Area" option and whoever's Runic Disc was used to start will now have saved that slot. Basically my group is reliant on me to get to floor 50 since I have the disc. If I don't show up they're stuck at floor 1. We are also reliant on me having tokens as if I run out, we can't jump floors even if everyone else has a billion of them.
