SothsayerAtlantis, you're a f***ing idiot. That isn't true at all. SE is not pulling the plug. Why would they be releasing French and German versions of FFXI this March if they're just going to kill the game three months later in June?
Also, in the version update coming this March, SE is planning on implementing chocobo racing, new missions, quests, monsters, Assault areas, various system additions and improvements, and more! Do these sound like the actions of a company planning to kill their game? I think not.
And no, SE is NOT losing money on FFXI (not yet anyway). For an MMORPG to remain profitable, all it needs is about 100,000 subscribers, and FFXI has five times that many. Yes, there are a lot of people quitting, but there are also a lot of new people joining, too. Anyone who has leveled a job to 20 recently knows this.
Besides, don't you think that if they were going to pull the plug, they would say so on the official site? Of course they would. But if you go to the official site, will you see any info at all about when SE plans to kill FFXI? No, you won't, because they don't have any plans to do so at the moment.
Stop pulling false information out of your ***.
