Hagun vs. Shinsoku = Dumbest arguement ever.

Shinsoku isn't even situationally good, because in those particular situations where you don't need a Hagun, (Anything that isn't a god/HNM. And even then, Hagun is still better.) even an Onimaru will do the job. And that's just assuming you're too lazy to get a Soboro Sukehiro, which blows even Hagun out of the water on anything that isn't higher than level 70.

Shinsoku is just shіt, period. To me, it's a symbol of a Hachiman Domaru Samurai. (They don't even have to be wearing the Domaru for me to know, if they have a Shinsoku. These are the guys who think Haubergeon is junk.)

Edit: No, I'm not a Samurai. But my bestest buddy in all of Vana'diel is, and he's a very good one at that. (Even if he does have a natural disadvantage because he is Taru.)

Kaku, go do some CoP. Your gear knowledge means sh*t, and I can't seem to quite get enough ppl for ouryu. Didn't you want to static or some such? So get on that already. I can suggest a few people that need mission help to catch you up, if you really want. We could use a few good men for busting up riverne too, so quit dogging it.

That is the trick. That's why we've taken the partial ls completion mode. Try to do a mission for 3ish people if you can. If you want to get done with the minotaur, we can help. Kev and I, plus a couple extras including a thief is about all it takes. Since I don't need the mission, I can aggro pull the two last stegos with a jug and log easy enough. Should be able to get you through mammets and diabolos with others with little trouble. Just a matter of timing.

BBS- right now I've got 2x blm, a pld, and a bst going for ouryu a week from tomorrow, so we've got room for two more. We're doing tailfeather farming tomorrow night (the bst is going to be our official mistmelt user and is going to max out his MP to main heal)... but yea.

I play on Jet all the time. Onimaru and Hagun aren't even close in my opinion. They're both good in different settings. I had to wait on TP to close the chain with Onimaru, since my WS wasn't worth shooting off solo, and without Sneak Attack or Trick Attack. (We have NIN tanks, and the only other melees are me and a WAR/THF, so we rely pretty heavily on skillchain damage for hate management. Another note, this was before Shikikoyo was introduced, even though I don't think Jet has it anyway. He doesn't merit much.) and when I had Haugun, I'd let loose at 100% without SATA and do enough damage to put a dent in the HP, and still have enough TP left over from Meditate (AF Enhance, Relic Enhance, Suzaku Sune-ate. Normal return was 160% on a lucky MND tick.) to pull the WS for the chain. The damage on the WS itself on gods (Although my personal experience is limited to Genbu and Byakko, since those are the only ones we've fought with me behind his character.) was much more consistent without any buffs, which is why I prefer it.


I'll get hard numbers next time we go up. Might be Sunday, unless we decide to do Kirin. Then I'll be stuck on my Ninja. ; ;
