Ok, like 2-3 years ago I made post looking for book ideas. Since then, i have read a slew of book but I am curious on what books people like and also looking for more ideas on books.

A few series I am currently reading and loving are:

Chronicles of the Necomancer: Gail Z. Martin
Otherland: Tad Williams
Mistborn: Brandon Sanderson
Hood series: Stephen Lawhead
The Runelords: David Farland
The Malazan Book of the Fallen: Steven Crikson
Chronicles of the Cheysuli: Jennifer Roberson

As you can see, it's a lot of fantasy. I read pretty much everything but lately mainly fantasy.

'A Song of Ice and Fire' series, from George R. R. Martin! Awesome books, still being written; only 4 out so far.

And, I also love the 'Sword of Truth' series by Terry Goodkind. A nice 11-book series, very long, very involved, epic fantasy :)

Sanderson took over Robert Jordan's A Wheel of Time Series after his early demise. It moves at a nice clip. Two more books and the Wheel of Time is finished.

This is the only one from your list that I've read. The few books I remember reading were quite good.

I also like the Shannara books by Terry Brooks, and the novel Neuromancer by William Gibson.

I too would vouch Robert Jordan's "A Wheel of Time" series, now taken over by Brandon Sanderson.

Another is Stephen King's "The Dark Tower". A truly fantastic series.

I read Terry Goodkind Sword of Truth then read Wheel of Time. Hod is Goodkind a good rip off artist. Just my opinion of course. I have read Brooks too. I really want him to add more to that series, Sword of Shannara series.

Sanderson did a great job on newest WoT book, probably one of favorite in series. The ending was just pure greatness in my opinion. I can't wait for next one in November.

George Martin, another series I read and loved. I read a lot of the more popular and well known ones.

If anyone hasn't read Karen Miller, i would recommend her as well. Great new writer. Quick list of stuff I would recommend to people:

Warrior/ Witch- two book series: Marie Brennan
Demon Wars Saga- RA SAlvatore I loved first three books.ho
Dragon Bone series- Tad Williams One of my top 5 fantasy series ever
Night Angel Series- Brent Weeks
The Noble Dead- Barb and J.C. Hendee
