What does the Garuda community think of starting a new character on the same server when FFXIV becomes live? Would you all be interested in getting on the same server so that we can continue to play with all of our old friends? Let the community know what you think about this idea and keep in touch to let everyone know which server would be the best for us. I hope to hear from some old friends if there are any left that I use to play with. Looking forward to the new Final Fantasy. Don't forget to have fun when you play... that's what it's all about.

Hi Grinny!

I know a lot of people would like to do this, but from what I've heard, the servers won't have the same names.

Can anyone confirm this?

Mmmm... great to see an old face Daffney.Wasn't sure if I would ever hear from you again *^_^* As soon as we find out what the server names are we should pick one for Garuda I think. Do you plan to play the new SE mmo Daffney?

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to stick with the same server as my friends yet or not. One of my RL friends and I already have plans to start our own social LS/guild/whatever. (Link in my sig.) If I end up with people I know, great. If I don't, at least I'll still know one person on whatever server I go to.

Several LSs are planing on continuing on together in FFXIV. I suppose it would be nice if ones from here all landed on the same server.

My old linkshell, Imperial, is planning to regroup for FFXIV... but we haven't really discussed which server we'll be joining. I'm looking forward to adventuring alongside old friends in the game, but I'm also excited to meet new friends.

I'd be totally stoked about moving to the same place with EVERYONE I know... problem is, after four/five years of FFXI, a small amount of drama has grown between certain people I know. It's nothing bad, and most of it has been all worked out... still, I wonder whether any of that drama might come back if everyone were suddenly occupying the same virtual space again.

I'm rambling!

Long story short, I'm looking forward to both seeing my old ls mates while getting a semi-new start in a new gaming world.

Ralrra, I remember you but I don't think we got a chance to play together much :(

I will be checking these forums every so often to see who on the Garuda server will be playing FFXIV and will necro this post when people start showing interest in moving together to a server in the new game.

Daffney... If I missed anyone I missed you. I love you and hope to adventure with you like old times.

It looks like they want to keep things familiar for the veterans of FFXI so it's my guess that Garuda will indeed be a server of choice when FFXIV comes out. If it does, I for one will be going to the Garuda server as Grindahl. Looking forward to seeing you all there^^
