We are currently trying to inform as many people as we can and search for information that might allow us to kick this RMTer off of Fenrir and out of FFXI! We've been sending what knowledge we can to the STF, but we can't rely solely on them to take care of this.

Still, we'll continue to try and hope others will help as well.

I prepared some templates below for the NA STF and EU STF. Please help us and together we can accomplish something we never thought possible!

Illegal usage of account

World: Fenrir
There is a player who is creating and using accounts for purposes that violate the Terms of Service.

Account: Edajima (this is the main character)

Characters Used: Edajima, Newtral, Cronos, Serpico, Senus, Shishi

Accounts Purchased through RMT: Cronos, Serpico (Edajima purchased these from friends)

Characters Involved in Illegal Activity: Newtral, Senus, Shishi (these were lent to Edajima)

If you investigate the registrants of these accounts and examine their Linkshell logs, you should quickly find they are being used for activities that violate the Terms of Service. One player is using these multiple accounts to monopolize camps (Korolokka, Gustav, and others) and to grief other players.
Your assistance in investigating these acts would be greatly appreciated.

I thought this post was SO awesome. Props to all the JP (I'm sure I leveled with many of you long ago) who took the time to do this: keep fighting the good fight.

I HATE Edajima, an old nemesis from when ffxi was first released for NA. I Have mpk'd him and his bots many times before they fixed the mpk exploit, and while I am not proud of ever having to mpk, Edajima deserved it. I am not sure but I think also I remember Edajima showing up at popular HNM pops such as Roc & Serket with just 3 bots, using packet sniffers to steal claim, and then using the Call For Help function when they couldn't actually kill the HNM by themselves. This was while my entire HNM ls stood by dumbfounded and angry. The other thing they would do was Cure V our tank when he was critted low to pat the claim away and claim it for themselves.

I have seen our Fenrir economy manipulated and wrung dry by these parasites for FIVE real life years... I do not wish to be negative but I have always thought the Japanese were the only players that square would listen to about RMT. It turns out they just don't seem to listen to anyone at all about RMT sometimes unless we all submit a signed petition. Thank you FenrirJPs for making some AWESOME forward movement on this RMT issue. I hate to admit this but I feel the GMS have not listened to NA about RMT almost ever. I myself paged a gm about 4 years ago about Edijama fishbotting in my favorite spot every day for a month, and recieved no more response then a gm saying, thank you, we'll look into it.

One more thing: my feeling on how to get this account banned? Be Square Enix. If I was SE, I would trace Ed's IP and inform Interpol that he is performing acts of fraud over many country lines. I do realize this is extreme and probably impossible, just food for thought.
Finally, I must say I hope Edajima's family becomes starved and diseased before they die a horribly painful death. Yes, this is in general how the RMT makes an honest NA player feel: angry enough to wish harm to someones family. This is a disgrace, I am ashamed to admit having these feelings but you should know we DO care. Whatever happened to the old addage, "Cheater's Never Prosper?" Seems like RMT makes a killing off the hard work and suffering of others. Have a good day ^^

As a player who has recently taken an interest in fishing I can honestly say I hate people who ruin a good thing for others with their selfish behavior. Getting Lu Shang is going to take a long long time.

Yeah I have to say I wouldn't go that far. I especially wouldn't wish harm on their family. Chances are they have a nice family who are currently unaware about what type of person they have raised/been raised with.
