Well, I finally got my WAR to 29 last night in a serious grinding, and decided to head back to Jeuno and update my gear to the Eisen set. I got all the pieces but the feet and finally went to pick them up. In hopes to catch someone undercutting, I bid 19k, no dice. Went back and bid 20,000 gil. "Do you want to bid 20,000 gil on Eisenxxx?" Not really, but I have to pay it anyways.
Go to put them on, I've got some Chestnut Sabots in my inventory. No clue how this freak accident happened, but I now have boots that are worth 2k that I paid 20k for. If anyone knows Scooterx, could you please contact him so I might have a chance to get my money back? I'll even pay for the sabots.
In case any of you are wondering, I did contact a GM about it, and they can't do anything about it.

Someone did that to my (in game) fiance, but she gave the excess back. As any normal person would do. But there are more and more greedy people in the game, you may not see it again. Why not just message him yourself? Or, are you hoping that someone else will catch him for you since your don't play that much? Either way, the worst he can do is say "Live and learn." But you might get lucky and he'll give it back. Or he'll avoid you like the plague.
If you don't get your money back, I will donate 5k to your boots. :)
