Well, from 48-51 invites are slow for everyone due to LB1. Everyone wants to get this out of the way, and it's just a complete pain in the ass. My WHM sat at level 50 for a week and a half due to this (I got LB1 done early, and all my friends still had to do it).

Another thing I'd like to say is: Don't do a job for the invites. Do it because you love it. It's like me with my WAR. I may sit in Qufim and the Dunes for 4 hours with my flag up, but I don't care. Getting in there and out DDing everyone else while still taking a beating excites me.

not just you, man. i'm a 41 rdm and since the split i spend a lot of time waiting around lfp

normal, esp for melee.
most of my friends are in or near their 70s, I have been playing longer and even got some of them their jobs.
Time of day also makes a huge difference in frequency of invites, I play very very late, it blows for invites.
Reputation also makes a monstrous difference, make yourself useful during that time, help some people, farm some gil/gear for yourself, do some quests for fame etc, kills time at the very least.
im also going to make a suggestion, ditch that scythe, that acc-5 is nightmarish for DRK who already have enought trouble with acc, damage does not matter if you never hit the target, you are diminishing the effectiveness of that life belt in a huge way.

SAM and DRK have one big problem in common, ACC.

since you arent using a crossbow that agl minus will only hurt your evasion, the dex +4 on top of reclaiming the 5 acc you are losing on the current one will make hitting your targets significantly easier, lower dly as well.

what strikes me as funny is how people keep on saying whm and rdm have it easy for vites, but i'm a 41 rdm who has garnered very few invites of late. i don't know if it's my play time (about 830-9pm CST and on) or what, but lately, invites are garbage period. And my Level 43 BRD girlfriend has the same problem lately as well, and she plays prime hours.

I know, I love DRK and wont quit it for sure, but the thing is I can't get any higher in rank cause im to low of lvl. Most of this game is lvling so why u rate me down for something very stupid, just shows how people are. I try to play the game the way I want and people can't make that happen. It's just that no body invites me and I don't have much time to wait for Pt's. I was asking what other jobs I could lvl to get invites faster than a job that requires skill, and that I would realy help out in.

or .. you could farm for two sniper rings, have life belt have bastok boots and have +23 acc. then barbarian scythe doesn't hurt you at all .. and then infact you are dealing so much more DMG than someone with facelstra is rediculous

It's not just you - last night when I started seeking there were all of 4 people seeking in my level range. DRK/DRK/WHM (me)/THF.

There was discussion of forming a party for a while, I passed hoping to be a replacement member, then an hour later (with very few folks popping on and off in lfg - never enough for a whole party) agreed to do the "wait around for a party" with a friend since I'd been seeking so long anyway.

That went on for 40 minutes - so I'd spent nearly 2 hours LFG. In the end, even after asking LS/Flist and whatnot, it wasn't happening. It was a Tuesday, it was after 8 PM EST. It's a dry period for party invites most of the time.

It's not you, it happens to everyone.

On the other hand, there have been days that I've logged on and within 3 minutes I'm getting a /tell in my MogHouse asking if I'd like to join a party.

It's a feast or famine thing.

And while it's easy to get a party as a WHM if you're seeking when everyone else is, it's difficult when you're in the spot I was in (hardly anyone lfg). The problem with WHM is that you're hit with the inevitable, "but the XP is soooooo good, and we only need a few more fights...by the time a replacement got here, 1/2 of us would need to go anyway."

It happens a lot, I know I usually stay under those circumstances (even when it's an hour later and I've suddenly realized that "just 800 XP TNL" was really more like 4800 because of all the XP we've gotten in that time).

The one thing I will offer is that a lot of folks spend waaaay too much time talking about entire job classes being "worthless." Heck, with a little haste, your scythe delay is no longer a problem, and you're the king of SC.

Indeed, I would have to say SAM gets the throne for Skillchains and BLMs get to be the jester..or something.

Ever try doing /sea all DRK {whatever lvl range}?

Everyone and their momma plays this job. It's a cool job i'll grant you but way too many people think the same thing.

Only thing i can suggest is to form a static, bub. Goodluck to you.

In my opinion, waiting around for a pt is pointless, 95% of the time i make my own parties, and even if i dont make my party, i never seem to have a problem getting an invite. Maybe some are just luckier than others? i dunno.

This whole issue is the reason I started leveling my BST. My LS mates are starting to reach level 49 along with me, when that happens I'll try to keep an eye out for you and see about leveling together, and questing for the LB1 parts.

they are in many cases, they are, however, fewer 60+SAM than 60+DRK, not to mention the overrated SATA Guillotine.
