I didn't think it was possible, but as I leveled Summoner this weekend, 2 times I was put into danger because someone cured me.
Instance 1: Fighting a Rabbit near the stream in East Sauraburata (where the Monument is for Clay quest). A Good Samaritan threw a cure my way, and the rabbit ran toward the guy, Carbuncle followed. I blindly followed while opening up a /tell window to say {Thank You}, I ran right into 3 goblins who were standing right next to the guy. They all aggro'd and I was dead in about 4 hits (the guy tried to engage all the Goblins once he noticed what happened, but engage + swing just wasn't fast enough to keep them all distracted). The guy ended up saying sorry, but I didn't respond because I was mad, and I didn't want to say anything bad because his intentions were good. :(
Instance 2: Fighting in the same area, this time a Goblin, I ready Poison Nails for the finishing blow, and I get a random cure, the goblin runs after the curing party and PN doesn't activate because the mob is too far away. Took me about 15 more seconds to kill the gob under normal means, and took a bomb toss as well. Not as bad as a death from before, but getting help from someone did hinder my progress (as I had to rest to regain the lost HP/MP from the longer battle).
Anyone else ever had something like this happen where they got help from a random passerby and it ended up hurting them in the long run?
