I figured I talk a lot of crap and argue with a lot of people. So I thought I would start a thread giving credit where credit is due.

I'd like to see posts about people who are seriously good at what they do. Whether they have good attitudes or not. (And not just friends posting about friends.)

Here's one person from my best player list:

Langer - War/Mnk - Forget what lvl he was when i pt'd with him but we were in Quicksand caves a couple of months ago. He was our main tank and he was better than any PLD I have ever seen at keeping hate. At one point the blm even tried to take hate from him by repeatedly casting her two best nukes, but failed.

Don't talk to him anymore, but **** he was impressive. So, let's see who else we can get on this list. :)

I'd go with Pizzaguy, he is occassonally in my LS but we don't chat that often, and the one pt we had together was in Yhoator Jungle. The guy can flat out pull, and he was a hate-moochin machine as a RNG.

Rushifell.. umm... /slap

People not to avoid is totally different then people who play the game at an impressive lvl. Hence the comment about "And not just friends posting about friends."

I also stated whether their attitude was good or not. So someone I could really hate and want to avoid, could still be on this list.

Now move along, unless you have some relevant info to add to this thread. :)

p.s. **** IT!!!! I got rated down!!!! lol.

I am going to have to credit 6 members of a static group for being some of the hands down greatest players Fenrir has to offer. Durendal(PLD), Krazyrob(DRK), Gocace(BRD), Gman(RDM), Shinto(MNK), and Daede(BLM). I've gone through several various quests and runs with these guys and they all are incredible players, they pull off things very few people could get away with. They play their jobs with incredible skill and are loads of fun to be around as well...can't really ask for more than that.

Having an underleveled sub != good at your job. Sorry. Have time to level your main? Then you have time to level your sub. Whenever I level a job, I usually just level the sub to a respectable high level so I don't have to deal with it for a long time.

Bartylby (may be spelling that wrong)

Galkan BST, but when I pt'd he was WHM. Hands down, the best WHM I've ever been around. And in Qufim, no less :)

Super sweet guy, really values his job/equipment (had 2 Astral rings even though it 'was just a subjob') and was just one of those people that makes your PT as fun as possible. MP efficient, regened properly, just, amazing. :)

Heheh I leveled my main for like 5 hours straight. I got 3 levels. Guess what. The next day...I went and leveled my SUBJOB!!! Its now lvl 20 and I am taking it to lvl 25. Calm down dude and breathe. The reason I didnt level my sub BEFORE leveling my main is because the Valkurm Dunes suck and I always die and delevel there. Its hard to level your sub when you go backwards in levels.

Edit: Oh I did level my sub for a very long time. When I got 18 with whm. I unlocked subjob and leveled BLM to 18. So I havent touched BLM since I unlocked my subjob. Thanks for playing though...Oh did you say this because I like Alecxander? I am starting to get hate for liking this guy.

lol,
You probably will get hate for associating with me Ardrial. But then again, there's small communities all around you that will give you hate for liking someone. It's a sick cycle, but the way the human mind works. :)

I could care less who you're assosciated with. Anyone who judges someone based on who they're assosciated with is pure ignorant. Having said that, anyone who knows me knows how strongly I feel against underleveled sub and unorthodox job combination and just being plain gimped altogether, which includes equipment and spells. (If your job class has any)

Um, well, trying to get the conversation back on track...

2 folks really good at their job:

1. Vyncent - mostly because he keeps skillchain knowledge in his head, knows most of the jobs out there really well in addition to his own. The tips I've gotten from him are invaluable and hanging out with him just wants to make me a better player.

2. Gillette - I have yet to come across another PLD that held hate as well as you back in Garilage. You were the absolute best. Not only that, but when the junk hit the fan and I had to Bene, you knew to go with your 2 hour a split second later (too bad our too-well-meaning BLM didn't know this was the one way we wouldn't die - that's how good you are). I hope you're still using "The Best You Can Get" as your tag line. :)

LOL good try Stephmo.

And Casanova is a good white mage, but hes distracted easily so don't expect him to be keen on PL'ing you.

I'd like to add Draagon to this list. The guy knows how to tank and his Equipment is fan-******-tastic. Plus, how many dudes you know who'll run into a fray of Fallen Knight, Fallen Knight, Lich, **** Hound, **** Hound and start VOKING ALL THE UNDEAD...at lvl 50 i might add. Thers a lvl 68 and a few lvl 60's who owe a large chunk of their experience to him for throwing down and dying thrice in the effort to get Gamechick, myself and a half a dozen others their paper.

Also Yinnyth, already had LB1 done and came out to add TH2 to the mix anyway. Died too. Good dude, good thief, amazingly brave TARU.

There's a taru paladin named Chopsticks who always did a good job at it when I played with him. He was my salvation in Yhoator, as he was one out of one of the sane people I met during my 2nd trip through there.

In other news, I always see Saiyanz leveling some new job somewhere in XI. I didn't think he had time to be a jerk in XI and on message boards. /clap

I am one of those players that do not like ptying with under subbed players... that does not mean i become narrow minded and say in general all undersubbed players are "bad"
I actually partied with Ardrial b4 and she was great, she managed her limited MP (very difficult as an Elvaan and undersubbed class) very well. She didnt panic (hard to find, only great whm's dont panic and mess up under pressure) and she kept everyone alive. I was suprised i even accept her as a very good whm, i am very picky with my support.
Lvl doesn't determine the players ability.

Being calm makes the best Mages.

If your a WHM and you catch aggro, stand there and take it. Allowing the Melee to regain hate is crucial (also, letting someone else Cure you, or letting your HP stay low till the end). I've never seen a WHM run from a battle and no one die. However, I've seen several battles where the WHM stays put, and no one dies, or only one person dies (rather than the entire PT).

As my RDM, if I catch aggro, I have 2 things that I do:

1) Elemental Seal + Sleep (casting right after an attack so I don't get interupted)

- and if that doesn't work -

2) Gravity + Kite - I'm not talking about booking it for the zone, just running around in circles still in range of PT in case I need to send a Cure.

If sleep works, Blink is always next, because the Mob will target you when he wakes up. :)
