Any macro with a whistle call would have to go on my annoying list.

Anyone that uses /emote, /say, /shout(! yes, I've seen these) when casting spells, provoking, attacking, etc. goes on my /blist.

I prefer short and informative macros. The place to outgrow such things is in the Dunes. Of course, there are exceptions.

Our Red Mage has a macro that says:
{Refresh}{Pet} {Casting Spell} {Refresh} on <player> which cracks me up.

Here here... Anyone who uses a /emote or /say macro should be /blisted.

Annoying daft bastards.. I can't stand anyone who tries to role-play in a role-playing game.. geez.. what are those nimrods thinking. We gotta keep this game like real life. God.. fantasy ha! never! :/ am i doing a good enough job on my sarcasm?

anyway, my favorite emotes are pretty much anything with a taru being or trying to be cute. some taru's just crack me up.

One of my favorite macros is my friend Kyzoku's macro for Holy, which I think he half stole from me...

{Holy} <bt> {bat} {Man}!

I sooo agree about the say/shout/emote macros when taking certain actions in battle...unfortunately I have seen these also. Beyond those, things like "/p Raping the <t> with a Double Thrust up the a$$" or "/em Sexually molesting a <t>" (wtf?! this was actually someones Pull macro) are the kinds of ignorant things I'd rather not have to see over and over and over and over. One of my favorite macros was a macro I saw fairly recently made by someone to congratulate others as they leveled up. It took up about 3-4 lines and was some cute faces, had the persons name who leveled up just a few words like Level up! and Woot! It just had a very happy feel to it. Never thought about making a congrats macro until then.

Let 'em role play.

When annoying daft bastards add to lag in an overcamped zone, you're **** right I'm gonna blacklist 'em.

Sure, you're doing all right on your sarcasm. The target of it just doesn't care, though.

Wow.

Beyond the /s macros or vulgar ones, i think yall need to chill. Just tell the person its rather offensive or noobish before u /blist them. ****, i'm prolly on all yer /blists in game since my Barrage/Sharpshot macro has me wavng Goodbye to the mob in {gasp} emote form. I like it, and i'm not changing my whm's heal <me> macro which makes my character panic before casting it. If u got an issue with macros that use emotes, tuff.

As for my favorite macros...i have 2. Barfette a HL WHM Taru, has her heal macro as - "Nobody makes <t> bleed their own blood!"

And my Voke macro is "Is Darkrein gonna hafta CHOKE a <bt>?"

This was our pullers macro in the dunes:

Or something of the like >>

It's hard finding a group as a low level BST, because you get slanted by the group for charming a beast because it wacks off 30% from the exp.

Anyhow, here's a stupid one I made up. (I still have it, but only use it when I'm PTing with my LS)

/s I choose you!
/ja 'Charm' <t>
/ s <t>

Of course I have this one just incase Charm doesn't work, and I need to run, but can't type.

/s Help me!

Why do you have to wave goodbye to the monster? Why do we have to see you wave goodbye to the monster? I'm not in your party, I don't care what goes on in your party, so keep your macros party exclusive, or better yet, if they're annoying and you just like seeing yourself talk, use /echo.

No one's condemning roleplay, but do it on your own time. When I'm in an EXP party with some horny *** craving M Elvaan, you're **** right I'm going to be annoyed if he keeps doing "/em touches the Mithra's breast lolz" EXP party is that, to get EXP. (Sorry for using Elvaan as an example) No one cares about your 'love life' except you and your spouse, so keep it exclusively that, the /t function works perfectly for that. Heck, you could even make your own LS with just the 2 of you.

Magnus do you somehow pay anymore a month for this game than i do?

Are you somehow more in with SE than i know of? Do you date someone at their central office that gives u the right to tell ANYONE how to setup their own macros?

The answers to these questions are NO.

U don't like my wave good-bye don't pt with me, **** /blist me for all i care, because imma do what i want to do to {hold for it, gasp, shock, horror) to have fun and enjoy my game play.

I know, i know that one line of purple going across your screen "Darkrein waves goodbye to the Hoo Mjuu the Torrent." thats just the supreme insult, mother of all spams and for the love of god it makes your gameplay less fun, but shucks i guess i'm a nooby kinda character cuz i like to smile when i do my 400-700 dmg on a poor poor unprepared mob.

Truth be known i changed that macro to a /farewell motion, but just for u imma switch it back. =)

State the way you deal with things, and people get all upset.

Wow.

I mean, wow.

If you don't care if you end up on my list, neither do I, really.

Go ahead and play the way you want, more power to you. I'm going to do /the exact same thing/ if you don't mind.

I don't like dealing with other people's emotes when I'm trying to concentrate on tanking a mob or smacking a mob with my axe. And I'm the criminal.

S'cool with me. Get off yer high horse.

emote macros are annoying at times, esp if they put something like /point into a voke macro.

I really dislike the misspelled macros, I find it annoying, just a pet peeve...
if you are making a macro, PLEASE learn how to spell the words in your macro properly, or al least use the auto translator to spell some of the words for you.

Oh, i ROFLed when i saw that convert macro...

I can see it now. In CN on the way to the secret room, you straggle a little while having sneak/invis up.

Let them wonder where you are.

/p oh sh*t guys, aggro!
/ja {Convert} <me>

I would have a heart attack and then die laughing.

I know this because i was pulling one day and the rdm used it without telling anyone. I flee'd back and i was like "whats killing you??" He said "Convert..." I had to take a bio break at that point. ^__^

That's like saying any prick can /sh "IM RICK JAMES B I T C H" because you can just 'filter' it. By the way, Emotes are quite useful as a form of communication when it's not being abused by some dumbass. Why should we have to cater to the idiots? I got a bright idea, why don't we just filter everything? Yeah.. >_>

My favorite macros are Jonova's.

I don't remember them word for word but, he's a bard so they are something like:

"Classic hits like [ Ballad ] only on WJON."

^^

Stupidest macro award goes to Arhtim -- "/p Using vaginal sercreations to get < t>'s attention!" for provoke. YES, "sercreations," lol.

Most annoying - anyone who uses <call > or <call 1> in a macro you use often, or in multiple macros

/p {Found It!} <t>! <call14> (call14 is a soft ding)

That "Gimme Power" macro sounds familiar. I remember I saw a war/mnk use that in Yuhtunga but it was in a "/s Gimme Power" macro and yes he did use it pretty much every 15 seconds. I told him it'd be best to just use an /echo macro. Hopefully he didn't think I meant /party.

There's also a mule called Lemmingman hanging around Bastok, that has 60+ /em macros, followed by the famous /panic motion.
He walks up to the AH and spams a few dozen at a time before logging, and manages to irritate a good portion of the population each time.

I have yet to /blist him, I look forward to his Legendary Hip Thrusts and Waltzes of Eternal Angst every time I head into Bastok. Always a bit of comedy to be had.

/ma "Banish II"
/wait 3
/p "Death please."

I would love this one....if not that Every. Single. Person. who likes Eddie Izzard uses this quote. There is much much better stuff in Dressed to Kill...

"Did I leave the gas on?"
"No, I'm a f@#%ing squirel!"

I'm going to say this because I think SOMEONE has to.

You will always think your macros and emotes are funnier than EVERYONE ELSE. I'm glad you like them, but everyone has a different sense of humor

A macro joke is funny ONCE. After that, please stop using it. We heard it. It's annoying. STOP IT!!!! If you do it once and never again, it's "This person has a sense of humour! Great!" More than once and we all want you bound and gagged so you will stop.

The best macros either explain what to do (like Ref's "Please get behind the <t> so I can SATA", or something like that), or shortly and perfunctorily explain what is going on ("(|Refresh|) <t>!")

The only elemental spell macro I have EVER seen that has ever been ANY good is the Bring It On reference here. That would be cute. Once or twice. I am so sick of "Hey, <t>, get stoned, dude!", and "Feel the burrnnn, <t>!"

And, lastly, people who cuss in their macros. I PT'd with a THF, don't remember his namke, I think he was a pretty good puller, but his macro for SATAVB was something like "Eat it, ^%(*&^&^$^%#$^%%*&!!!!" They're just polygonal mobs. Calm down and relax.
