I realize by posting this I am letting everyone know that the V-color crew is gone from Ordelles Caves.I am just so damm Happy that we all have a chance to farm Archer's Rings now.I realize some ppl did actually beat them to the kill,but Gil farmers piss me off so bad.Vwhite had 10 sales on archer at no less than 460k in a row...it sickened me.I am so glad they r gone...if even for one night,Hopefully the rumors I have heard are true and they got booted.I wish you all the best of luck farming this NM,I know I have missed this income source.
I just wish SE would handle Brawny and his lot now.Oh well,I have faith.

Then I did a /sea all edaj to look for the infamous Rabao fishing bots... and came up with nothing... now, no one was on my LS, so I couldn't ask them if I was remembering the name wrong or not, so my appologies if that's my error, but I did /sea all edaj 3 times, nothing... i even did /sea all eda and only came up with edarkness...
Could SE finally be cracking down on botters?? Is it a fsking miracle?
Edit: Added a link and wanted to note that the Home team is still around, however, as far as I know, they've yet to 2/7 bot camp a mob... I could be wrong however. All I know is, they're still around.

You're right on the eda's. I'm not 100% sure that they were banned, though.
Their bread and butter in Rabao was Padded Caps - the synthing was almost constant for them whenever I fished Rabao.
In addition to taking a pic with the eda's for fun, I also noticed that they weren't wearing fishing gear - or gear that made much sense. They were all /anon, so I have no idea what level they were (it would only take one to get a decent level and sneak them - or buy silent oil - and sneak them to Rabao). They wore gear that was minimal at best (one was in mining gear?).
A few of us in our LS do fish, so we kept tabs on them. It appears that they were trying out Port Sandy/Port Windy/Quifm for a bit. Our thought was that they were looking for an additional income source.
We don't think they found one as steady as padded caps, and I personally suspect they didn't have the job levels to fish anywhere else. I doubt they got their LuShangs either - so the bigger fish are out of their reach.
I'd like to think that SE traced back gil selling to them and that they disappeared as a result, but it's also likely that greed got the best of them. I'm guessing they were one trick fish/synth/sell/buy light crystal bots & the recent nerf hit them hard.

THanks for the info Steph, not being a fisher (or craftsman of any type) I forgot about the padded cap nerf, which could likely be the cause... anyone seen the eda's recently?
I'd like to think that SE has started to crack down on botters, that would give them a lot of respect in my book... actually listening to their legit players and not focusing 100% on income from the bot accounts. In fact, just the hope that this is true sparked me to go level my WAR to 5 for provoke so I can maybe go get some fair NM camping in ^^

That's what that update the other day was for. When it said they were going to be doing maintenance but it didn't affect game play, they were hunting down bots as well as some glitch where a person illegally got gil. Not buying it off the internet, but glitching it. and fishing sucks anymore.

We always said you should go away, not encourage MPKing, and just know that SE would address these issues themselves. Oh - and that they wouldn't detail their plans to you just make you happy.

I can actually verify that * SOME * of the Edaji Tarus were BLMs, and that they were at least lvl 60. I remember partying in Valley of Sorrows with my THF when I was like lvl 61, and their party was right next to ours.
Serpico, a PLD taru seemed to be the ring leader, and they had some sort of WHM or RDM as well. But they would just pull in mobs and all cast Ancient Magic on it, and it would die after like 1 min. I can also verify that all of the BLMs had Vermillion Cloaks.

Now as far as their fishing gear, or anything like that, I really don't know. But as far as them being gone, as well as the Vfreaks, I am one happy camper, no pun intended. XDDDD

Anything below a certain rating doesnt get shown. if you change the filter settings on top, it will give you a choice to "never filter". thats how you find your posts, because your rating has dropped so low.

There's the Taru set - the mages from what I can tell. Yes, they're out and about. Well, they used to be - I haven't seen them around in a while either.
The Fishing Edas (well Padded Cap Edas) were all Galkan.
I had heard before that they were basically run out of one location, but I'd heard that it was two people - that they worked in shifts. Not just one person.
If it was just one person, that's some major endurance - or just a handful of catnaps throughout the day. WOW.
I had seen the mage ones before - really nice gear on some of them. Perhaps the Galkans were bankrolling the operation and the padded caps took away some major income. Maybe without the steady income, it wasn't fun anymore.

It's great to hear that the V's are gone, let's hope it stays that way. Just yesterday I was bitching to a friend about how Vwhite had 8 of the last 10 Archer's Ring sales and how ridiculous it was that this was allowed to continue. I would feel a lot better about buying a Sniper's Ring now, knowing that the gil might actually end up in the hands of a legitimate player.

You guys seem confused by the Edaj____ series so I'll enlighten you. The Edaj____ series are characters that all belong to a JP player named Cronos. There's 2 sets of them. One are Taru mages, who Cronos himself powerlevels. The second set are his fishing bots in Rabao, they are Galka. They fish rusty caps and synth them right there and sell them.
Sadly the V-crew is in Oztroja...I am sickened.Will our world never be clean of Gil Farmers?

As a person that has tried for months to get O. Kotes, knowing that I know have even less of a chance would just annoy me to no end.
The flip side is that if they are in Oztroja, they are more at the mercy to the large range of mobs there. While nothing in Ordelles can agro them, SEVERAL things in Oztroja can.

The tarutaru's were decked out in the finest gear. Many of them
were wearing serkets ring + astral, or double astrals, they were wearing Royal cloaks (3.5mil last time i checked fenrir)

Last time I saw the galkans non-anon they were lvl 37blm/nin
and also wearing nice gear (before he started the 24/7 cap fishing)
I always kinda respected that group, for at least if they were gil farming, they were doing it in total style :) Fully leveled jobs, the very best gear etc..

If they are buying and selling a bunch of stuff to each other, it sounds like they are trying to price fix. So instead of the Price History showing each headband being worth 2k, it shows as the 5k they bought them for (from each other). Now when they put them back up, people will be more willing to spend 5k because they think that is the normal price.

Nope. That's not it, they are not raising or fixing the price, they buy them all up for the price it went for (a very steady 3k or so) and selling them to another home(k/l/o/m) for that same price...
Just FYI, all of the original eda fishing crew were ALL lvl 100 fishing, that is why they did not need any fishing gear. towards the peak edas added a couple more to their army of fishers, but the original 5 fishers all had lvl 100 fishing.

Speaking of bots, has anyone seen Claywick? He is around lvl 40 I believe, and he stays at the South Sandy item shop de-synthing leather belts. For the past two weeks he has not moved, and has been staying there 24/7.

Yah, I've seen him, he's driven the price of Iron Ingots down by a lot. Ingots used to be worth 30k per stack, now he's made them worth 25k. But he has to move at some point. 25 stacks of lightning crystals can only take you so far before you would need to go get more. :)

They were gone again today for a few hours, I managed to get a ring with Tyrn. When they came back I also pulled 3 chyme infront of Vodaf out of about 5 until they started to claim mobs and drag them infront of me to mess me up while they use their nifty voke programs to cheat.
Regardelss of any morals, the vcrew should die. I don't support mpk, but on these I would dance if I saw them get killed.
