Hey returning player after a couple years...and well hate to say it but Fairy is dead now! (wondering if ffxi is alive anymore!?)
900-1300 players and a huge chunk of those are lvl 74-75. 5 people in windy...dunes are bare...even jeuno seems like a ghost town. Cant find a pt to lvl up anymore. What happen to this server? It used to be really fun and busy, very dead and boring now. Is it mostly a camping and end-game server?
Im no where near end game and need a helpful ls for missions, quests and lvling, getting subs and such.

According to this, Fairy is one of the low-populated servers. It rank's 26th in active players, only beat by Kujata, Hades, Midgardsormr, Seraph and Remora in inactivity.
It has a high number of transactions tho, so at least the few people we have are very active.
But yeah, low levels are hard to go by now. Basically you need to rely on level sync to party up. Finding someone on your same level is very rare, let alone a whole party.
Also, the dunes being inactive may have something to do with Korroloka being the level up hotspot now <.<

It is better wither to be silent, or to say things of more value than silence. Sooner throw a pearl at hazard than an idle or useless word; and do not say a little in many words, but a great deal in a few.

yeah it seems this post is the hotbutton right now on all the forums, dying server threads which you can find as far back as 2006, any drop in population and everyone panics. The came is like 6 years old, its older than lineage 2 and about equally as old as WoW, games are getting outdated compared to features in the new ones, but look at super nintendo, its 20 years old and people still play mario and duck hunt, there will always be a few players, just search for the most active server (if thats what your looking for) and switch servers, I'm on phoenix and caitsith, and trust me, its the same stuff
but from what the stats say....phoenix is the most active server right now, the fourth over all(if you count transactions and inactive accounts, if not then phoenix is the top server to be on right now), and you can see it, just not in the low levels
Also depends on time of day your on as well, for invites. Fairy usually is good for low level parties around early evening to weekend time frame.
To often, we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remeber when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and bitch slap that MOTHERF@#$%R upside the head
