Would just like to let Fairy know that the "Dookz" that played from late November 2007 until early November 2008 is not the same Dookz as it is today. The account was taken and SE cannot help me retrieve it, as I do not have my registraion codes and notary seems to be something SE feels is too time-consuming. It's now owned by a thieving piece of sh*t. Sorry to all the friends I made and sorry to my LS's and dyna-LS's. It isn't me anymore. The best I could do was block the account, with the help of a GM, temporarily. Square Enix is not being useful in aiding my account retrieval. But then again, when the hell is SE ever helpful? I was able to give the GM enough info on the account and that was grounds for a temp. block.
Dookz is a Ninja75 Redmage75 (Mithra, with the white, messy hair). was currently working on beating divine might to get rajas ring. was rank 8 sandy. had a Lu Shang's fishing rod, Genbu's shield, swift belt, zenith mitts. Woodworking was around 64.
I could go on and on, but my point is whoever is playing on Dookz right now, is not me.
I ask that no one help Dookz or let that person into any dyna pearls. idk if this person is nice or mean. idk if this person is a chinese gilseller, or an american computer geek. all i can say is, he took my account and is most likely posing as me.

this is the real dookz here. no bs ive owned the account since around 2003-04 i cant remember. anyway hes not lying i did sell him the account on ebay. i wasnt able to play anymore due to irl issues so i said screw it why not make some money. the reason this guy doesnt have the registration codes is because the account is not originally his, its originally mine lol, i do have them.
what happened is my situation eventually changed and i was able to play again and i was talking to some people that still played and they told me he logged on the account a few times and that was it. These people play quite frequently and they stated he barely even plays.
How did i get the account back after i sold it to him on ebay? I simply logged in (with my the password that was set when i sold him the account). he never changed the password. Was this wrong of me? yeah of course, i shouldnt have sold the acc on ebay, and i shouldnt have tried to get it back. But i figured if he didnt play on it anyway and didnt care enough about the acc to be smart enough to change the password then who cares? obviously HE doesnt. i know that doesnt make it any better from my end but seriously, use common sense here.
he didnt even start trying to get the account back until several months later lol. and my char was pretty much the exact same it was when i sold the account. almost exactly, dookz was probably right where i last logged her off actually lol. those of you who know me ingame (the real dookz) know im not a rearend hole and ive helped a lot of you out with various random crap and never asked for anything in return. i wouldnt have continued playing on the account if it seemed like he was playing on it. and it didnt so whatever.
i mainly posted because i saw that wolfjorg seemed to have thought the guy who posted was me! and its not lol. hi wolf btw ^^.
and to clear up some things:

That is completely untrue. I played very often, USUALLY on invisible. I played whenever I wasn't working. And you never responded to any of my emails. I never changed the pass because you seemed like a pretty trustworthy guy, obviously not. Whoever those people were that you spoke to and told you I never played were completely wrong, steve.
Dookz was also not the exact as you had it. Lu Shang's rod was added, and so was a Blau Dolch, but I sold that. Huge changes were not made, but thats because I spent most of my time helping a lot of people. And any spare time after that was leveling low level jobs and playing PLD.

Why in gods name would you buy an account, and then on top of that NOT change the passwords???? Stupid enough to buy an account, even more so to not change passwords.

Changing the pass is nearly pointless anyway. Original owners of accounts can just retrieve the account back, in most cases.

Sooo seeing as eBay is a legally binding contract and selling the account is against TOS the account should be banned and common should sue dookz for his money back plus legal fees right?

I don't think it's as simple as that. While selling accounts is against the ToS, it's not illegal so is really a moot point on this issue.
As to the eBay thing, it's a confusing area of law; indeed most people consider it to be a law unto itself. To the best of my knowledge, it would depend on what was actually sold. If it was just the username and password, Common has those so has not 'lost' anything. Whether a term would be implied that he would have the exclusive right to use that character, I'm not so sure about.
Basically this is just a good example of why you shouldn't buy accounts!

so if you sell your account to ebay and get paid for it..you are not the rightful owner anymore of that account even though you still have the registration code..best thing you can do is to give back his money or else everyone will think you are a scam artist..no offense but that's the way I see it.
