Hey now, that would be something worth seeing.

We could even put both candidates inside giant inflatable ducks and have them race. Would be more entertaining than the debates.

Donald Trump didn't really mean to imply that those 2nd amendment folks use their guns... just like Palin's cross hairs and reload comment wasn't really about guns...

More HRC emails were published today. Apparently, these are a subset of emails HRC's lawyers deemed private and personal:>

Anything interesting yet? So far, the news articles are mentioning "a billionaire maybe talked to an ambassador" and today's is "Morgan-Stanley guy said he was going to testify before Congress".

I heard a lot about some deleted text messages about Chris Christie lying about his Bridge Scandals. But that's about it.

Understandable, but to blame her as opposed to the POTUS makes it seem illegitimate. If you're going to attack the top, then you attack the person ultimately responsible for foreign policies. Well, that's what the GOP was doing before the 2012 election. Conveniently how the attacks 100% switched to HRC after President Obama won re-election.

1. Clinton was the most directly responsible for the decisions regarding diplomatic security.

2. Clinton was the most responsible for the decisions made during the attack itself.

3. Clinton was the most responsible for the decisions (and arguable coverup) that occurred after the attack.

All of that occurs because of her then position as Secretary of State. Um... But honestly, most of the blame falls below her level, but it doesn't matter really because of...

4. Clinton is the one running for president.

And honestly, it's irrelevant except as red meat anyway, since as a rule government employees cannot be sued for merely performing their jobs, even if they performed them poorly. But as red meat, this very fact also falls nicely into the "rigged system" narrative.

Ironically, Trump had Mark Foley sitting behind him during his Florida rally today. That's what happens when you let anyone in the door.

Exactly. If this weren't true, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Funny how the majority of the Iran Nuclear agreement blame went/has gone to President Obama, even though it was Secretary Kerry who did the negotiations. The GOP is even bringing up Clinton's role in the early parts of the agreement. I don't hear much about SEC. Kerry even though he was the "most directly responsible".

The downside of reading someone else's e-mails is you get to find out what a boring job they actually have. 55,000 e-mails and there's maybe a dozen or two that are actually interesting enough for them to report on.

Yeah, but this dump to Judicial Watch was only a couple hundred. If the biggest news is "foreign billionaire maybe spoke to an ambassador" (said ambassador denies such a meeting ever materialized) then that's pretty much a fizzle.

I'm not even discussing the ethics of it (although ethically, I don't give a shit if a billionaire spoke to an ambassador) just that you're not going to cut into an eight point lead with that as your knife.

But, yeah, the numbers of "released emails" always sounds like more than it practically is. Sort of like the DNC dump of 20,000 emails that was (from a casual glance) 13,000 daily email blasts from Politico, CNN, AP, Reuters, etc.

I suppose saying you're releasing the contents of someone's spam folder doesn't really translate into clicks very efficiently.

Well, okay then. Seems we're halfway there already.

In less disturbing news it turns out Obama founded ISIS, or whatever they're calling themselves these days.

To be fair though, when assessing the potential quality of a presidential candidate, you kinda can't judge based on their previous work as president. You can, however, look at their actions and interactions, policy decisions, pull and sway (or lack thereof), and any of a number of other things from past jobs they have held, especially those at a high level in government service. It's somewhat of a cop out to just declare her record as SoS irrelevant because she had a boss higher than her in the chain.

So, we can only attack Sec. Kerry if he is running for president? As long as he's not running for president, then it's president Obama's and Sec. Clinton's fault?

I'm sorry, but you lose all credibility with that line of thinking.

Trump says that he doesn't need a GOTV infrastructure because, if people want to vote for you, they will.

Also, the campaign closed their New Jersey office which is going to make keeping New Jersey in play a bit harder for Trump (who insisted that they'd win there).
