What are you kids doing to keep yourselves amused these days? Find new internet places to haunt or bursting with new productivity and activities?

Not really asking because I need anything new, just curious what fills the days of people who used to get hours of activity here.

Nothing too different, really. Reading in between posts. I'm just running out of things to read faster.

Reddit, Facebook and Twitch eat up most of my online time. Sports and video games come in a close second, depending on the week.

I mostly noodle around the Straight Dope Message Board and in the Cheap Ass Gamers Steam deals thread. Still can't get into Reddit.

I forget about Straight Dope, I'll have to book mark it to remind myself.

I check out threads on Fark now and then. Can't get into FaceBook or Reddit, and I only follow a few people on Twitter like the #MySadCat guy, because he's funny.

I think you'd at least find it interesting reading. Posting requires a different mindset, both because there's more rules but also a shift to the "small fish, big pond" paradigm. There's people everyone knows there but I ain't one of them.

I get most of my clubby in-crowd style warm fuzzies from CAG.

Cracked, theChive, The Straight Dope, Wikipedia, youtube. I don't post to any of these, just browse.

Still playing EQ.

I still spend an awful lot of time here.

Full time working, still, and the occasional movie.

I do anticipate spending much quality time in doctors' offices in the near future. While MS is not completely off the table, chronic lymphocytic leukemia is looking like a potential player. Because someone haet Bijou.

I think there is a social lounge sub-forum but I've never even been there. The General Discussion has a few cliques that I belong to. And with the influx of new equipment, hardware, techniques, juices, and users, there is often a lot to talk about. Well, not really, but we make it stretch pretty far.

Like why the new fancy schmancy variable watt/volt tank thingie with internal battery has the usb power port on the bottom instead of the side? Friend of mine has one of those, and that still boggles both our minds.

Well, I have less free time because commuting is, no joke, a half time job for me. I spend about 20 hours a week just commuting back and forth to work, haha. I *could* probably post from the train, but it's like, a hassle and way easier to just lurk.

But don't worry, I'm not cheating on your or anything.

Yeah, that's freaking retarded, isn't it? Most mods are made to stand up. I've had Ego batteries (the pen-style) that have "bottom" usb but those don't stand up so well anyways.
Edit: as it turns out, I just realized my mod has the USB port on the bottom, too; I forgot about it because it has a removeable battery and it's generally accepted that these batteries are better off charged in a dedicated charger instead of in the mod itself. Built-in battery mods are, of course, designed with better circuitry for charging.

Vaping is really a study in engineering and electricity; I had exactly zero knowledge of Ohm's Law before this. There's an entire sub-forum about coil builds; for example, building a 28/24 five-wrap Clapton coil to .3Ω at 50W.

I've been going outdoors lately. Trying to get used to the sunlight... I even went near a park, saw people grilling food. It was so, so, clean cut. I drove back to the house and played EQ.

Shades of the Dennis Leary bit about smoking pot leading to engineering. "This tree stump would make a great bong!"
