Actually, I've heard that Wendy's salads are quite good. There aren't any near where I live, so my visits there are infrequent at best, but that's what I've heard. And yeah, they do have a "different" set of side dishes than the usual fast food fare (baked potatoes, cups of chili, etc).
Yeah, the chili is pretty good too, really. And it's not horrible for you, comparatively. If you get a small with no cheese on top, it's like a hundred calories I think. Have a side salad and you've got a pretty decent lunch for like $3 and under 400 calories, depending on what you use for dressing.

Hah. I've had it a few times. With cheese though, so I guess I'm just a glutton or something. Tried the baked potato, but it seems a bit hit or miss (very small, and a bit dry, but I applaud them at least trying). It wasn't "bad", just not great. I did make the mistake of ordering the fish sandwich one time (I think that was at Wendy's). Honestly, don't ask me why, because fish is usually not something I'd go to a fast food place and think "hey! That sounds good", but for some reason I decided to try it before my brain thought about it long enough to stop my mouth from doing the deed. It also wasn't "bad", but holy hell was it greasy. To the point that we thought something had spilled in the bag. Nope. Just grease leaching through the sandwich paper, through the bag, and onto the table I'd set it on for like 10 seconds.
