Nobody runs on the platform "same old boring broken shit." even in the party of recalcitrance.

Announcing that you're running for president brings with it a bunch of legal responsibilities. I can't really fault anyone for dragging out the clock by being coy on that one.

Which is strange considering the built in base for "keepin' it like the good ol' days."

I understand that, but he doesn't have to pretend that he's still thinking about it. He can just say that he has made a decision and will announce it later. Pretending that you're still giving it an honest evaluation is just not necessary. You can do what Carla did and say that it's "above 90%" that she'll run. We all understand of the legalities of coming straight out and saying that you're running.

Oregon legalizes Spider-Man's ex-wife. Guess this is the next big button country-wide issue to deal with.

Who was it that was saying Chris Christie wasn't going to run?

I think it's pretty clear he's not going to be President. I'm not sure that counts. I did think Hilliary wouldn't run, so I owe Joph a soda or something, I'll have to look it up, but I also doubled down that she won't win the primary, so maybe I'll still make it to a push.

Yes, it is. He argued that every single employee should get a raise. He supported that with the assumption that if the total value of the company increased, that meant that the value of each individual employees labor had increased, and thus they should get a raise commensurate to that total value increase.

Nope.

Of course, the only time people are going to "believe" he has a chance is during that one week where he becomes a front runner for ratings and eventually lose to Jeb. Also, we're apparently up to seventeen or eighteen people running, so it's less impressive to have predicted someone was going to run when apparently there isn't anyone that isn't running. Romney, Palin, and McCain should be coming up soon.

Are we calling it for Jeb? I think I'm gonna call it for Jeb. I still think Walker would have a chance but he ain't gonna beat the Jeb cash machine. Also, I think Walker is blowing the "conservative moderate" facade by demanding a constitutional amendment to stop homosexuals from marrying.

Pretty sure it'll be Jeb. He has baggage, but he's the only one trying to sound even a little bit sane.

I wonder if the Koch brothers have roomy shirt pockets. Guess I'd have to ask Mr. Walker that.

My first comment about Webb was that his head looked like a malformed potato.

Former senator Scott Brown has apparently taken to hawking MLM diet supplements these days.

I have mixed feelings about Jeb. If HRC weren't' running (assuming no other credible Dem running), I would default to him. I like his "willing to lose the primary" approach and would love for him to stick it to the GOP anti-Bush crowd. However, with HRC in the running, I obviously would want her to win, but I don't want him to lose. So, the idea scenario would be for him not to get the nomination and have someone like Walker or Rubio lose to Clinton. That way I don't have to hear the excuses of "if we stayed away from the established 'center right' candidate and stuck with the core GOP" excuse that they used with Romney.

Shockingly enough, after Trumps speech about how Mexicans are all rapists and murderers he loses sponsors and Ricky Martin. He's the candidate that understands economics, right?

A Calais man was killed Saturday night after placing a fireworks mortar tube atop his head and setting it off, according to Maine State Police. It was the first fireworks-related death in Maine since fireworks were legalized in 2012.

Police said the bizarre incident occurred at roughly 10 p.m. in a residential backyard on South Street. Devon Staples, 22, was setting off fireworks with some friends when he “placed the fireworks mortar tube on top of his head and set it off,” the investigation found.

Investigators said the explosion caused a fatal head injury, and Staples died instantly.

Tee-hee... Maine.
