We have some major retards in our government right now. There was an interview in Politico the other day and our chief diplomat decided to share that Poland was being offered to "sort it out together", that is, the Ukraine problem.
After ********* in the old country, his response on twatter was that the conversation was not authorized. Has he ever not been to US?

But that is all secondary, along with Tusk, Radek was the guy who was publicly saying everything is fine and dandy in 2008 - 2013.

Note the tone of the article, why is American press so bent on making idiot Polish politicians look like statesmen ( there was another article in WSJ about Tusk making him look like some sort of skilled ninja ). The **** is going on?

There are degrees; recent iterations are beyond regular levels of crazy.

It's Politico. Honestly though, I didn't get much of a statesman feel from the guy. More of a finger pointer feel, really.

Oh. And Lwow? I'd always seen it spelled Lvov. Just something that jumped out at me.

I thought the W didn't exist in those languages, which makes Chekov's "Wessel" instead of "Vessel" kind of wrong. I did have a Korean professor who couldn't pronounce V's. She would pronounce "Inverter" as "In Water"

It is spelled the way current occupant sees fit. Gdansk was Danzig once. Kontantynopol ended up being Instanbul. Shrug. Spelling is a minor thing by comparison.

Anyhoo, I kinda get Politico. I do not get WSJ. They are not exactly known for a sunny disposition towards the old country.

Well, even New York was once New Amsterdam. I can't say why they changed it.

I admit I dunno. At the time that part of history was presented we were living with the story of the history teacher getting a chemistry teacher pregnant. I still don't remember much about acids.

Well.... because the English seized it from the Dutch. It's literally exactly the same thing as all the other examples.

And that's why Kontantynopol got the works.
