I woke up at 2am so I could drive back and get home by Noon, giving me time to play...

And it was raining when I got home.

I suspect we'll lose our sweet, sweet Google ad money pretty soon.

Listen, this is serious. Last time Google shut ads down the site lost 1/9th of a months revenue. That's *dozens* of dollars.

I would possibly go premium just to allow us to swear like proper adults.

Nah, taking stuff away and then offering to sell it back isn't cool.

Besides, their whole "You'll never see ads with premium!" was bullshit anyway once they wanted a couple extra dollars so why would you trust them on this?

I guess it is more fun to just fuck with the filter anyways.

There's been banner ads and "special" pop-ups even with premium before. Plus the whole "let's re-shape the forum layout to cram in more advertising banners, boxes and backgrounds" thing.

I haven't had premium in ten years or whatever, but I do notice if I'm looking at the site from a tablet or something, that the adds are intrusive enough that I literally regret viewing the page at all.

Sort of astounding google had and issue with language on forums and not with the obvious attempts at clickjacking and manipulation.

I've never seen any ads while I've had premium. The base code here has always been dodgy, so I believe if some premium users are bugged by ads.

Nah, they'll still put up ads for "special promotions" for upcoming games and stuff. Or change the background wrap to something advertising games.

There's been threads about it in the Feedback forum before. The reason I dropped premium was because I was seeing more and more of the forum jacked around to accommodate ads and push them even with premium. Figured that completely negated the point of paying so dropped it and went to AdBlock/Grease Monkey instead.

My biggest irritation, actual irritation, is how the live feed up and dies for some unspecified reason. I find the asterisks are funny at best, but the live view thing just annoys to no end.

That's just treating the symptom and not the illness.

Still, it feels good.
