So I picked up some discounted Sims3 expansions I think I'll mess around with this weekend, assuming the weather stays as blah as it is now. It's not terrible though, July is just around the corner and before long we'll have to deal with threads complaining about how frickin hot it is. Those are always fun. Anyway, one of the ones I grabbed was the supernatural expansion, so the next fun part will be deciding what to play. On that train of thought...

Which one would you be and why?
Vampire:4 (22.2%)
Zombie:2 (11.1%)
Werewolf:4 (22.2%)
Fairy:4 (22.2%)
Witch:4 (22.2%)
Which:0 (%)
Total:18

Happy Friday. Smiley: boozing

Clearly zombies is the only viable choice.

I've got some final home inspecting to do and then not much of anything.

They seem to have nerfed zombies somewhat sadly. From what I can tell they mostly eat the stuff in your garden, unless you have a simple fence of course, then they're helplessly kept out. Smiley: frown

I'm towards the witch thingy, setting people on fire and turning them into frogs sounds entertaining. Or fairies, they do pranks like making the toilet explode when someone flushes it, which has amusement potential.

Yes but imagine being able to do that without having to subjecting yourself to poor cooking. Or is this merely good cooking with an awful unfortunate side-effect?

Go for boy fairy, Tinkerbell has some boy fairy friends nowadays, so it seems they do exist. They're still pretty greatly outnumbered though.

I've yet to manage moderation when it comes to tacos and hot sauce.

And be Fairy/Zombie since a quick readup says you can.

I like those odds.

Edited to clarify I meant fairy-fucking, not taco-shitting

I said werewolf, just because. I've always thought I'd make a good werewolf since the full moon usually coincides with PMS, may as well take full advantage.

Don't let the poll choices restrict you, Samira. You're your own woman. Demand to be a lamia or a rusalka or something.

I was under the impression that boy fairies liked other boy fairies which is why the girl fairies just roam around bored all the time. Either that or they're farming fairy nuggets.

I've heard lamias put out.

To decide my vote, I did a quick search for cosplay of each creature. My vote stands at Witch.

I don't think it works that way anymore. All witches are now young scantily clad women in pointy hats. Thank you video games.

I have the expansions up to Pets. I don't think I would like the supernatural pack.. while "realism" isn't something one should look for in Sims I still think I would be a bit overboard for my tastes.

In my games I rationalize the Vampires by pretending they are just Junkies... (although that would work great with Zombies too.. hmm)

Incidentally, I'm curious on how other people play...
I try to keep linear generations.. I'm on the 6th generation from my original Sim when I started playing.. I have had the family since split into 4 different neighborhoods and keep their lines going.. I also populate the towns with my own families since I don't want to get repeats.. So I've pretty much been playing entire towns rather than individual families.. jumping back and forth.

If I've learned anything about witches, it's that they ALL have some sort of magical glamour spell that makes them young and beautiful.

Initially it was basically a multi-generation construction project. I'd stick with one family however long it took to get their house to look the way I wanted, then jump ship and start over. Then playing homeless sims came up in a thread here, so I had to give that a go. Then it was mostly living through gardening and seeing where that took me. That led itself nicely to entirely doing without modern conveniences, and that transitioned to the whole fantasy thing and witches and faeries and such. That's when I dropped the money for the expansion, and the town with dragons, and some other stuff.

There was also a "see how many kids one sim can have" side jaunt I went on for a while. Which resulted in most of the town being related to the one promiscuous sim, and the game getting really laggy and crashing. So now I try to keep things to a more modest 10-15 children. Smiley: thumbsup

One of these days though I'll have to take all these sims I've created and populate a whole town though, that sounds like fun.
