They'll play with 11, Balotelli and Marchisio just won't be part of those 11.

Yeah, you only play a man down for the current game. You're back to full strength for the next one, but those players that were bad can't be part of the 11 for the next game (or longer).

Aaaaand Suarez BITES! Omnomnom Italian shoulder.

Shame the Ref missed it, definitely should have been red. Although with it shown on camera so clearly he's definitely out for the next 3+ matches.

Bloody hell... Godin should've been sent off against england, and therefore not playing in that match. Obviously he had to score tonight.

Also, that was definitely a bite. Suarez has form.

Uruguay should've been a man down. Suarez will surely miss the next 2 rounds if Uruguay go through.

Yep. Although the camera angle was a bit better than this one, so there was 0 doubt about it.

Uruguay are the dirtiest team this tournament by a long way. Just like in 2010, 1970, etc...

Interesting fact, since the 2010/2011 season Suarez has been suspended for a total of 25 matches, that's about 1 in 8 matches.

No doubt this time either with Suarez feeling his teeth. In any case he definitely won't be playing another match in the world cup, essentially knocking Italy and Uruguay out of the tournament.

Usually I find it hard to support Italy just because Balotelli is a giant douchebag but at least he doesn't try to eat people.

Look for a guy holding a wad of cash. There had to be some hefty odds on that one.

I've got a tenner on Argentina or Uruguay winning the whole thing.

But Costa Rica finishing first in the group, that's some voodoo sh*t right there. I would say 'drugs' but FIFA tested 7 Costa Rican players after their game against Uruguay. They never test more than 2. So, yeah, voodoo.

Uruguay going through isn't a surprise, Costa Rica going through instead of Italy or England is.

Edit: and I think you can kiss that tenner goodbye, I don't see Argentina winning anything if they don't start playing rather than rely on a select few moments by Messi and Uruguay is crippled without Suarez.

That's all true. Uruguay was a cheeky punt, mostly because of 1950 and odds of 22-1. As for Argentina, they do look a bit sh*t, but they might wake up.

Barcelona is and was much more star studded though. I mean I could very well be proven wrong but the way Messi seems to be looked at as the messiah or something seems unhealthy to me and not a way to win a tournament.

Edit: Oh and Suarez has now bitten people 3 times, that makes him crazier than Mike Tyson.

Edit edit: bitemark picture, good attempt at breaking skin.

An unbeliever! Persecute!

Seriously though, I agree it's usually teams that win tournaments. But over only 4 matches, anything can happen. Maradona did it, his Argentina was worse than this one. And I think Messi is just as good, if not better.
