If you didn't catch the daily show last night, Steward actually toned down the humor for his report on the kidnapped girls in Nigeria. He did a nice job. Then he slammed El-Rushbo for dissing the #BringBackOurGirls twitter campaign, ending the segment by asking his audience to tweet #F*@KYOURUSH.

I wanted to do my part but don't tweet. I don't even know where to see if this request by Stewart has had, or will have, any kind of an impact on either Rush's programming or the Daily Show. HP said it's set off a twitter fire storm - but they tend to exaggerate stuff.

If you've not seen the segment it's worth watching - I'm sure it's available on youtube.

It won't affect Rush negatively. He's a shock jockey. It's exactly what he wants.

Democrat does something, Conservative is obligated to be against it. Rush may be a shock jock, but there's really nothing shocking about his behavior at this point.

You'd think rather than dissing the first lady for retweeting on behalf of the kidnapped girls, Rush would say nothing.

Sometimes I wish we could censor hate.

It's not hate, though. He's just saying what he expects his audience wants him to say. Which is pretty much the opposite of being a shock jock, which is how he describes himself.

'Predictable Jock' doesn't have the same ring to it.

'Predictable ****' rolls off the fingertips nicely though.

I'm guessing Rush was on some kind of "why hasn't Hillary told the CIA to bomb Nigeria yet" rant?

Why didn't we launch air strikes against the school when this was happening? Did Hillary tell them to stand down?

Not surprised none of you automaton robots didn't actually listen the actual Rush bit. Fortunately, unlike you, I don't mind listening to a variety of sources so I can tell you gist of it. Basically Rush was ragging on Obama being the most powerful man in the free world and all the Obama's can manage is a tweet.

And yeah I agree with Rush. If the president of the US can't act on something like this then what's the point of being president? But the real reason the Obama's won't do anything about this is because of their ties to radical islam. Mark my words the mass murdering Islamic fort hood shooter will not be executed on Obama's watch.
A simple "yes" would have sufficed.

That's true, I didn't. As previously mentioned, Rush has been dull lately, worried more about sports talk and plugging his books than anything else. Yawnsville. If I have to listen to another precocious eight year old talk about how much they like Liberty the Horse, I'm going to switch to (shudder) Dennis Miller.

We have intelligence/military support agents in Nigeria helping with this but Nigeria isn't really keen on us sending in a bunch of soldiers, tanks or helicopters. Sovereign nations and all that.

Hrm, looks like we're doing drone flights in Nigeria to help with the search as well. Oh well, you couldn't have known all that what with your "variety of sources" and all. [Edit: some sources say drones, some say manned surveillance flights]

I used to occasionally listen to Limbaugh during the Clinton administration. Honestly, I think Limbaugh got more mileage out of Bill than Barry - probably jealous that Bill was getting bj's from some hotty intern. Obamacare however, gave him more substantial fodder to ruminate on.

Washington Post wrote:
The Obama administration is conducting surveillance flights over Nigeria in the search for more than 250 abducted schoolgirls and is considering the deployment of drones to the region to bolster the effort, officials said Monday.

Additionally, the administration has all but one of the 27 experts and security officials assigned to the mission already in place in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, officials said. White House press secretary Jay Carney said the team includes five State Department officials, 10 Pentagon planners and advisers who were already in Nigeria, and seven more sent from the U.S. military’s Africa Command, along with four FBI experts in safe recovery, negotiations and prevention of kidnappings.

“The scope of that assistance has been outlined, and it includes military and law enforcement assistance, advisory assistance, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support,” Carney said.

All that and 30% off in the cafeteria!

No, what the administration should be doing is arming the Nigerian militia to help take down the terrorists! Because, gosh darn it, that worked out so well the first time.

If they can get me that $23 million inheritance that Mgambo Hiutte, the Senior Vice president of Economic Bank of Economics, owes me as well that would be just ducky. Dude hasn't been returning my emails since I sent him my banking information.

Gosh, I hope Procol Harum didn't kidnap him as well.

Yeah """Planners""" who were just hanging around in their offices in Nigeria, because those are considered the premier DOD offices for strategic """Planners""". Definitely not paramilitaries.
