We've been renting a townhouse since Ashe was an infant and we moved to NC. Today we closed on our house. It didn't go as planned, and we came close to not finishing the deal today due to the seller's being way behind the ball, but in the end, I hold the keys and we were financially compensated for our patience. We were hoping to move some items over today but instead spent time cleaning, painting, and ripping out old contact paper on shelves.

However, if you have ever watched Johnny Dangerously, you will enjoy the fact that after the first layer of 60's train paper ripped off, underneath lay another layer of..... duckies.

Tomorrow consists of friends gathering to help us move, pizza, beer, and lots of work. How about you guys?

Johnny Dangerously was a great movie, so I'm going to try to see it sometime this weekend. I'm sitting in my living room with no real plans other than that now. Supposed to snow Sunday and/or Monday, so I might have to deal with that.

It looks like the scheduled snowpockalypse has been cancelled around here, so I may get out and about to do stuff this weekend. Today was my day off, which is nice and I played with my almost 2 year old nephew today, and managed to finally teach him both the words "Aardvaark" and the holiest of holy words "Wombat"

None of the upgrade parts I was hopeing would arrive managed to make it here so far for the 3d printer, though there is still tomorrow. If those show up I'll probably be able to mount the ballscrews and get rid of the last of my machine's inherant inaccuracy. If those don't show up, I may just start on one of the other projects. And by projects I mean toy making. I'm torn between Tank robot, robot robot, Mini sub fittings for a ROV, or a quadcopter. If anyone has a few minutes, go to http://www.thingiverse.com/ and tell me what the coolest thing on there is so i should print it.

Other than that, maybe some minor house repair work.

I'm working through the weekend, which is par for the course, my weekends tend to be mid-week these days. Got a promotion recently, get to actually experience what it's like to be the boss for a few days while the GM and owner are out of town, so it's going to be a pretty great weekend in that sense.

Otherwise, gaming, some household maintenance and relaxing with the lady is likely what's going to go on when I'm not at work.

We got moved into our new place last weekend. I haven't been online until yesterday though because this desktop computer was always wired and with the way this place is laid out now, there was no way to have the computer next to the modem. So I finally got off my lazy **** yesterday and got a wireless card, haha.

Working today, but tomorrow consists of getting more things in order around here and then being lazy if possible.

Wow, your boys look pretty happy. You're going to need a couple of girls though, or you'll never get any grey hair.

Congrats on the new home.

Last night we went to Jonwin's Niece's 22 birthday party. where her younger brother went on and on about how college has open his eyes to the wider world. I actually have some hope that he'll turn out educated and informed world citizen. He plans on spending a semester in Ghana next year. Thankfully he got bored with talking to us old people and we got some quiet time to chat with family, before the band started playing. That was my cue that we should be leaving, as I didn't need the noise level to give me a migraine.

Tomorrow will be spent making more affordable jewelry for a community college May Day Festival, I'll be vending at. I got 6 rings made Friday and 2 necklaces yesterday.

Then after Jonwin get's home from work, we be going to the Chieftains Concert, with the tickets I got him for Valentines Day.

Chieftains concert. I'm very jealous!

I'm probably going to play Arma 3 (Altis Life) and wait for the weather to go crazy.
(and go grocery shopping) EXITING!

I missed church today.. I went to sleep with a nicotine patch on.. and dreamt that I woke up and it was Noon.. so every time I woke up after that I thought I already missed it.. until I really did wake up and see that it was 10:30 (right when it starts).Smiley: mad

I'm surprised people don't just pop nicotine patches on when they sleep just for the freaking movie quality dreams. When I first started them I dreamt a 3 day long dream (in the course of a few hours) that I was a member of a Defiant class starship and we were stationed in an army barrack in an alien city (that was very similar to a very run down Baltimore). All of the aliens looked like humans except they had 3 large fingers. The city was so elaborate I kept getting lost when I would wander around the streets to the shops and cafes. At one point I joined in a jam session in a bar.. then I got my gun stolen by some alien punk kid that I had to chase through the streets.
Then the Borg showed up..
and that's what happens when you fall asleep with a nicotine patch with Voyager on in the background.

Kelvy, purging of toxins (or a change in delivery) is well known to trigger vivid dreaming. I've had my best dream experiences while getting off of pot- for example, spending a week in jail my dreaming was so intense I was writing them down on the cinderblock walls until I could get my hands on a sheaf of paper.

For my weekend, yesterday I took Thom to a Dr. Seuss birthday celebration at the local college. It was fun, an entire room full of hyper kids and twenty year old co-eds. I've got to hang out on campus more often.

I think you're right.. when I quit weed, it's the first time I ever woke up gasping and drenched from the intensity of the dreams.. and similarly ready to write a P.K. **** style short-story based on the dream.

Some people pop nicotine patches on when they sleep and then have nightmares that would make HP Lovecraft cringe.

I tried it once.

Once.

I wonder if someone could make a chocolate delivery patch? I bet that would sell really well.

To be of any value it would have to create a creamy cocoa-y sensation settled into the back of your mouth.

How does eating pizza help defeat Russians?

If I'm forced into buying some chain pizza, I honestly just pick who ever has the best deal since I might as well make it cheap and a $10 Domino's pizza or even a $5 Little Caesar's isn't significantly different from Pizza Hut or Papa John's.

Little Caeser's 8 dollar deep dish is a lot better than their 5 dollar hot n ready. Worth the 3 dollars extra. Eight crispy corners!
