Rules:

Keep your "fanny bandit" bashing/"fanny bandit" loving political excrement out.
We all spy on each other so no one gives a derogatory care about that either.

This is for chest beating and friendly international ATHLETIC Rivalry.

(Joph don't touch any of my culture)

I am going to start by saying

4 Canadians in slopestyle snowboarding tonight. 3 are top ranked in the World Thats W-O-R-L-D for you southerners.
4 Canadian chicks qualified for some mogul stuff. 3 are sisters all 4 are totally bangable. 3 top 5 ranked in the world.

6 medals or GTFO

First 3 medals in for the Netherlands. Gold, silver and bronze on the 5000 meter speed skating for men.

Sven Kramer is the second person in history to successfully defend his gold medal on the 5000m and the first time since 1964 for a full podium by one country and only the third time this happened on any distance in the history of the Olympics.

Nice job on Gold USA in the Snowboard Slopestyle that guy had an awesome run! Canada got Bronze and the kid who did it is nursing a broken rib. Was a cool event to watch.

As for hockey...I don't really care much for the womens hockey. Baring some tragic incident where the US or Canadian teams perish...it will be US vs Canada for the umpteenth time. Mens hockey though. Stoked for that.

(also Umpteen is an actual word.)

Also update the OP for sensitivity reasons. (credit for fanny bandit where its due.)

We watched the opening ceremonies and laughed at the fail of the 5th ring not opening.

Also, how empty the stadium was. I don't even think half the seats were filled.

That is pretty rude of you. If you watched to the end you would have seen all those seats fill up with the athletes after the march of the nations.

I guess people don't care that much about marches. I was zoning in and out. I was surprised to see Greece putting such a small team.

Uh, no. That's not the parts of the stadium I was referring to. The stadium itself had plenty of open seats in sections that were not set aside for the athletes. Unless the athletes, upon finishing their march, integrated into the rest of the crowd, which sounds like a logistical nightmare.

All I know is that really cool LED thing they did with the audience, where the words and letters flashed over them, had a lot of dead pixels in it because nobody was in that seat.

The real tragedy is that we can never quote the full Flintstones theme song lyrics.

I present the motion that 'yabba dabba doo' is the new replacement word/phrase for 'gay'.

All in favor?

Hell ******* yeah! The second all Dutch podium in 3 days and on a distance the Dutch have never won a gold medal before. We're even leading the medal charts for a little bit.

3/3/1

We don't like bronze any more north of the border. we got a taste for gold and we aren't giving it up.

Canada on top of the medal rankings...Get some. (speed skating and skining almost over Dutch and Norway done getting medals)

Don't worry, it's the Winter ones, not the ones that matter. Let the lesser nations have their moment in the sun, we get to dominate the Summer.
