I ran out of work around 4:00 PM.

So I tidied up the office, used the smelly chemical whiteboard cleaner, and re-prioritized everything I have to do next week.

We're going to eat delicious Puerto Rican food and probably get drunk tonight.

What are your weekend plans?

I'm coming into work tomorrow to play catch up. People have been spending too much time playing with the new toy in the lab and not enough time doing work so clients are starting to get grumpy. My job will be to make them less grumpy.

Yay less grumpy. Smiley: yippee

Speed skating world cup in Calgary this weekend.

One of the two fastest tracks in the world plus Olympic season should mean super fast races. It hasn't quite shown yet today but I'm hoping the weather will cooperate on Sunday with lots of rain so Sven Kramer can try and break the 6 minute barrier on the 5000 meter (6:03:xx is his current world record dating back to 2007).

Then again if no records are broken this weekend there's another chance next weekend in Salt Lake City.

I'm going to see Thor and sleep a lot. Maybe at the same time depending on how the movie is.

I've still got another 2 hours yet here. Probably will work more on upgrading all the rack and cable documentation. Yay.

This weekend, I want to take my bow over to the range and test the new stabilizer equipment out. I've got a pile of 3D printing to print too. Other than that, not much planned.

Tonight we are going to the Tomoka Brewery, which is featuring all of the Cigar City beers tonight. Be jealous.

Not sure what the rest of the weekend has in store for us yet.

From what I've heard, you should be well rested after seeing that.

My birthday is on Sunday, and I signed up for some overtime work. Yeah, I have to get up ridiculously early but I'll be hanging out in New York all day, making time and a half. Apparently the J&R Music World is right across the street from the office I'll be working in, so I may go there for a bit, play some guitars that are worth more than my paycheck.

The Husband had some Jai Alai, and I had the Big Sound Scotch Ale. Mine was 9.0%, so I didn't have anything else. Husband started with an Invasion pale ale.

Friday I take a taxi to a train, then the subway three stops, walk four blocks home and hang with the family unit for the weekend. Then Sunday night after Walking Dead I do the same in reverse, with the notable exception of stopping at a WaWa to stock up for the week.

Why don't you just take the taxi home?

All the way across New Jersey? It would be cheaper for him to fly from Philly to LaGuardia.

Something in the neighborhood of nine months.

And yeah, taxi from Jersey is mad expensive and not essential travel and I couldn't foot that kind of bill weekly like this. Funny enough, it's almost certainly faster this way than plane, too. Really not that bad, just me whining really.

I figured you could hit up the taxpayers for travel costs.

Oh and thanks to you and any other service members past and present that hang out around these parts. Smiley: flowers

Appreciate the thanks, but I've outranked it. See, E1 to E4s deserve all the praise. Buy them a meal or pay their bar tabs or at least oral in the bathroom. They're the ones that are going to be in the most danger and made to work the hardest. You can buy drinks or food for E5s and E6s, but definitely no autooralizing. They work hard and put in dangerous situations, too, but nowhere near the first group. Anyone over that maybe a pat on the back. At that point you're mostly administrative staff so it's more paperwork than gunfights and explosions.
