For the last three weeks, I've been a "full-time" student with my online medical transcription/editing course. Today I submitted my final exam, and now I have to wait 2 weeks for it to be graded. I'm pretty nervous. I think I did ok, but that's usually when I do the worst, so now I'm convinced that I've failed. But when I think I've failed, I usually do pretty good, so maybe I passed...?

Oh **** it.

Best way to pass the time while you're waiting for the final grades, or so I've been told. Smiley: nod

Well, I got my test results today, and I started crying. I graduated the course with honors. Smiley: grin You can graduate with honors or high honors, or a standard graduation. The companies that hire through this program like to hire those that graduated with honors or high honors.

I can't believe it! I'm finished, and I've got a good shot at getting a job fairly quickly!!

I'm happy for you, Belkira.

From the limited info you've posted here, it kinda seems like that move to Hawaiii ****** you over for no real reason/gain. Maybe that's me misreading the situation, I don't know. I'm glad things are looking up for you, anyway.
#15 Nov 13 2013 at 4:37 PM Rating: Good
Thanks, Kavekk.

The Hawaii move was good and it was bad, but if I could, I wouldn't take it back.

I would, however, never accept the job that I had. That was horrible. Smiley: lol

Yay! Congo ratulations! So does the certification come with a title or anything? Do we have to call you "the honorable Belkira of doom" now?

Since you're all wondering, I got a job just before Thanksgiving. We got the paperwork all done and they installed a bunch of crap on my computer today. Next I start training, and then they throw me to the wolves!

If you all send me your full names, social security numbers, and dates of birth, I'll let you know if I get one of your medical records....

DISCLAIMER: Just kidding, do not send me this information. I don't want to be arrested for fraud if you end up getting your identity stolen because you are an idiot.

Congratulations!

I once did a stint in insurance data entry. Had a form in my stack one day from a girl I knew in high school which had all her stats on it and her medical issue. Wasn't anything scandalous like monkey clap or an extra ****** but I still felt odd just knowing that level of stuff about her.

I'd love to know the medical terminology for that, but I refuse to google it.

And congrats Belkira, there seem to be lots of jobs in your field here in the NYC area and I expect that's the same everywhere. It should be comforting to be in a field that has a high demand.
