Just to be clear on why I said that: if you listen to the Radiolab Podcast I linked (and you should, Radiolab is awesome), no lab in the US would supply the guy with hookworm eggs. He literally had to save up, go to Africa (Cameroon if I remember) and stand in crap to infect himself. He now makes money processing his on ***** for hookworm eggs and supplying them to allergy sufferers.

Well he's already working that market, so there's even less reason for me to want to go to Africa.
