I have nothing of worth to add to any existing thread. Nor do I have anything of any value to post about.

None-the-less I'm sharing a 'first listen' of Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeros' third and latest album. I'm listening as I type so I don't yet have an opinion.

Anyone else have any good new music. I could stand to completely swap out the contents of my MP3 player.

The solution is we should eat more cats.

Depends on what you like, I've been alternating between listening to The Alan Parsons Project and Negura Bunget lately, so proggy 80's pop and moody Romanian black metal with lots of cool instruments.

As for the album you linked, I quite like the music but I find the fake microphone crackle from the 50's very annoying. That's part of the charm when the music is actually old but when it's new it just seems like they're trying too hard. A shame, really as it's getting in the way of the music for me.

I thought it was my cheap old broken down, taped up head-phones I have at work.

I've been listening to Django Reinhardt, the two-fingered jazz guitarist.

If you've only got two fingers, how do you flip the bird?

If you only have your middle fingers left it's pretty easy.

But it's only two fingers, which means one finger is the left finger and the other is the right finger.

Have someone make some fake hand mittens with the remaining fingers on it and in the proper position.

Absent a middle finger?

Same way as you might pleasure your wife.

It's because they're awesome. One of the very few black metal bands I like, if only because they're not the cliche HAIL SATAN, EAT BABIES, BURN CHURCHES ARARARGH!

Nothing particularly wrong with it, it's just so cliche.

On the topic of band that are sloooooooooow in releasing new material, Tool has announced a new album for early 2014, so with some luck we'll see it released before 2016.

Mine aren't clever or witty. But they are pretty much how I live my life. Time by Pink Floyd, we all have a clock, and if you don't use the time you have you lose it. Here for a good time by Trooper...because you don't have much time, you may as well enjoy it.
