I don't think we've ever had a wierd eyeball thread in here. Time to change that!

I have Odd eyeballs. Well, specifically the Iris parts. I'm curious if anyone else has something similar. In my particular case, I have Central heterochromia, where both eyes are two (or more) different colors. Mine happen to be dark brown in the middle around the pupil, then they go golden-green-ish, until they wash out to gray at the edges.

Anyone else have something different relating to eyeballs? maybe an eyeball collection? I dunno. Answer the poll, the eyes have it!

My eyeballs are:
Standard issue, one color only Iris :14 (43.8%)
One eyeball one color, the other is a different one :0 (0.0%)
Multiple color eyeballs (central heterochromia thingy) :8 (25.0%)
Robot eyes stolen from the future :7 (21.9%)
Other, please relate :3 (9.4%)
Total:32

Bad eye puns go!

My eyes are typically only 1 colour at a time, but depending on how the light is shinning in them, they are green, blue, brown, grey or the typical, hazel

My mom's eyes were blue-gray with an amber ring around the pupil. Mine are just plain old blue.

Edit: pupil, iris, same thing, right?

My eye color is normal, but my vision is 20/10 so that's kind of weird.

Eyes really?

My eyes are brown. I'm sure there are flecks of gold in them - real gold not just shiny bio-bits.

My mom had a lazy eye. Both my eyes, however, are evenly ambitious.

How is it that there's not a blog dedicated to posting female celebrities with goat eyes? If I had an attention span larger than a tree frog, I would totally something something something...

My eyes look grey most of the time. Upon close inspection they are mostly dark blue with some light green and brown close to the pupil. I've been told my eyes change color depending on which kind of light I'm in; sunlight vs florescent. Bright green and pale blue are the most mentioned colors.

You really feel like you're peering into their soul when you look them in the eye just before the hammer comes down.

Yeah, I was hoping to peer into the soul of my forum-troll stalker before the hammer came down (it was my first), but too late. Smiley: frown

Pretty much this and this. My eyes are more or less blue around the outer edge and more green around the middle, making them appear different colors in different light/mood/whatever. I'm sure it has something to do with light and pupil dilation, but magic works too.

This as well, kinda. Don't know if lazy is the right word, because I can control the degree of drift off center quite well. It creates two superimposed images, one of them to the left and slightly lower than the other (or I suppose the other way around depending on how you look at it and which eye's image I'm looking at if that makes any sense at all). I sometimes amuse myself by shifting the images around to line different things up. Works well with tile or dotted patterns. It also creates a stronger 3d like effect because the eyes are focused slightly differently. The plus is that I'm amazingly good at those stereogram pictures.

Wearing contacts instead of glasses helps prevent the lazy eye thing since both eyes are appropriately adjusted all the time making it easy to maintain dual focus. When reading without my contacts off, I do find myself sometimes allowing one or the other eye to drift off and just focus on one of the images (largely because my eyes are not quite the exact same prescription). I try to not do this though, cause lazy is bad.

My eyes are blue.

Eyes don't rapidly change color. Some colors are more prone to being observed differently based on the surrounding hue. That's a matter of the viewer perceiving the color differently, not a physical change within the color itself. No one here is some ocular chameleon.

Look! The same woman's eyes went from blue to green in seconds, purely by using a camera flash!

Her lazy eye was of the type where one of her eyelids drooped (Ptosis).
