How long do you think a "full school day" is? I think 8 hour battery life is not all that hard or rare to achieve, and that's assuming you'd have to use it the full 8 hours. But I don't remember ever using my text books for the entire time I was in school.
Can't speak for this particular tablet but my tablet holds a charge for at least 10 hours for regular use.

The vast majority of my most useful paid work involves using a search engine.
Too bad for the chillins, by the time they are my age, using google won't be considered a special skill anymore.
