Abrams is a multifuel type, so yeah technically diesel would run it. It uses about ... one and a half? One and a half gallons per mile, but can store 500 gallons.

Will it tow a horse trailer?

Smiley: lol

Consider ~$1800.00 to fill the tank.

It most certainly can, and traffic is no issue.

Cut and seal the barrel, register it as construction equipment, document all driving as work expenses for tax deductions, and you're good to go.

Because driving with a fully intact Lamborghini isn't going to have every cop and news chopper in the state following you down the road?

I'm willing to bet the cops and news choppers would be less likely to follow you with the 120 mm smoothbore gun intact than without.

Have I got suck in a timewarp? Hasn't the US government been arming the rebels for ages?

Not overtly. We've almost certainly been providing some sort of aid and assistance through Turkey. We've also (I believe) been providing non-military aid.

The rebels want antitank and antiaircraft weapons and I don't think we're in any hurry to provide them. If it came down to it, I think we'd rather blow up Syrian tanks ourselves than give the rebels a bunch of antitank weapons.

False, we've been doing arms transfers of AT&AA resources for some time now.

Pfft, we would *never* covertly arm a nation/regime that we would end up opposing a generation later...we're too clever for that!

Oh, I'm sure we've sent arms. I'm skeptical that we've sent AA/AT arms but I'd be happy to look at a source. Just 'cause I'm skeptical doesn't mean I'm not wrong.

Glad Obama kept his cool, turns out the Rebels (our militants!)used the Chem weapons, and almost on queue with the information being compiled Israel has launched airstrikes into Syria.

Also golf clap for Iran, Russia, and China who all said that they didn't believe the information being sourced regarding Assad use of Chem weapons.

Perhaps we are on the wrong side? It really seems like Israel wants us to get dragged into a war. If Iran takes the bait...do we go or let Israel sleep in its own bed?

Oh I'm sorry...

Israel wants to get the US dragged into a war, along with its Allies in NATO.

Or us for short.

Another update!

As of me writing that post up top the UN is now backing out of its statement from yesterday. Stating the evidence is now inconclusive. However they also state they have found no evidence as of yet pointing to any government involvement,

What do you mean? I always refer to us in the West collectively.

Or are you implying that because I spent the other day ragging on your countries decline into the third world that somehow causes me to refute the fact that we are long standing allies with generally aligned goals and ideals, and that our foreign policies while individual depend greatly on what the others in our group determine to be the best route forward.

I am genuinely interested into what inconsistency you refer to?
