I'm learning how to make a GUI. It takes up a lot of time and makes me want to hurt cute things. Smiley: frown

Might as well make this into an early Friday thread.

The missus and I will be buying a truck, much to my chagrin. Her Audi is all but toast, and we might as well get something that can tow a trailer so that we can stop paying other people a small fortune to cart her horse around (before you say it, yes, I have suggested that a horse is itself a mode of transportation - she should just ride it to her shows).

I'm going to end up driving the dang thing most of the time though, because I travel all of 2 miles per day to the train station, so it'll be better usage of its poor mpg. Which means she gets to steal my Mustang.

I'm going to a birthday party for a gaggle of four year olds. The thing is I can't get out of it because it's my daughter's party. I'm already downing asprin.

I plan on trying to get some rest.

The Mrs. is on week seven of a bad stretch of exhaustion (we're expecting some more lab tests today and tomorrow to make sure it isn't something more serious). Starting to run out of steam.

Also, Im headed to Vegas for the first time next week for my birthday. For those of you who have access, expect many, many drunk photos posted on FB (wheee, first vacation sans kids!)

Too early for weekend plans.

I am hating you so hard right now.

This weekend is wide open. Oh, except for lunch on Sunday... With my boss and her family. That should be fun...

I am looking forward to only working for 8ish hours on saturday and 8ish hours on sunday... as opposed to 10-14 hours every other day.

I'm always torn cause I want to be social after work but I am seriously exhausted... but I can't help myself, I still hang out with people... and get even more exhausted.

I am thinking I might force myself to stay in my hotel room and play video games on Saturday... yeah right I will probably find the fun gathering instead.

You can probably find a pickup truck with better gas mileage than a Mustang.

This weekend starts my weeklong vacation, I'm not going anywhere but it will be nice to get away from the stresses of work for a week. Only thing I really plan is a Fallout 3 gaming marathon. Start to finish hopefully.

Probably not on our price range, but admittedly the mpg isn't high on our list of requirements - I haven't done much research to that end. Also, it's just a V6 Mustang, so it's about 26 mpg.

I don't generally have Zam access from other work. being in IT, there are ways of course, but it depends on the surrounding co-worker density. But now i'm home, and I have tomorrow off so I can annoy people with bad pun posts all day, and there's nothing you can do to stop me! MWahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! AAAAHAHhahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!!

... Ok, got that out of my system for the week.

Anyways I've been virtualizing servers after hours for the last 2 weeks. Yes, we have a ******** of servers at other work at that particular site. And now they are inside another server! Well, more like a cluster of servers, but still. Did you know you can put a virtual server inside a virtual server? so far my record was 9 layers of virtual servers with servers inside of them. I called it the Matryoshka array. No one wanted to know that, but now its in your head, so there nyah <thbbbbttt!!!!>

Work's been hectic. I put in my 40 hours in the first 3 days this week. Luckily things calmed down a bit today, I was able to break out early to the golf course where I got fitted for some new irons. They'll be in next week, pretty pumped about that.

Most of our weekends will probably be pretty low-key until June 6th, when we leave for 4 nights in Waikiki. I can't wait... I haven't had a "Go do whatever you want" type vacation in a few years. My last vacation was going back to Tennessee to visit the family, and as much as I LOVED seeing everyone, it wasn't quite the relaxing, "do what you want" vacation that I'm craving.

Hannah's birthday festival concludes this Saturday (her birthday was 2 weeks ago) with Nexa taking her and her friend to an amusement park for the day. The boy and I will remain at stately 'Roo manor, probably building a table if the weather is sufficiently good for staining wood outdoors.
