Exactly. We'd never impinge on freedom of speech by not showing nudity on television or using any of a list of prescribed words that apparently make people very very sad. Shooting people is fine, of course. A-Team, good family programming, naked boob, has the potential to ruin lives.

To be fair, while they did a lot of shooting, I don't think the A-Team ever actually killed anyone.

That's hardly an argument in their favor, though. They used violence and it was shown to be entirely free of consequence. Not a lesson I'd want the sort of people who learn life lessons from television shows to take away.

Thanks to the the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005, in the US, pharmacies and other such dispensaries are limited to selling 3.6 grams of pseudoephedrine per day per customer and a total of 9 grams per month. Customers are required to present photo identification to purchase any products containing pseudoephedrine. The transaction must then be recorded in a log book and the customer is required to sign. The only exceptions are for packages containing less than 60 milligrams of pseudoephedrine.

There is some good news though. There are formulations of pseudoephedrine products being tested now that are are extremely difficult if not impossible to turn into methamphetamine. Once these new formulations have been worked into the current legislation, they will be exempt from the above requirements. It's probably a couple of years off though.
