At least France brought the riots and the non-euphemistic water cannons.

If being trendy is what it takes to make progress on the civil rights front, I'm ok with it.

If it wasn't for pogs we wouldn't be enjoying these freedoms we take for granted today.

It's lucky that it and Rhode Island haven't been demoted to "District" status yet.

Hey, I'm not complaining. This is one trend I'm all for.

I have a hard time calling major civil rights improvements 'trends'.

When comparing him to the British is as insulting to him as comparing him to Americans, I'll switch to that schtick.

In local news, the Illinois State GOP has successfully pushed out party chairman Pat Brady over his support for SSM legislation in the state assembly. Way to find new methods to increase your irrelevance, guys.

Clearly it is an unpopular position, and all the polls stating how the people want it are just oversampled. The vote is much closer than your liberals want us to believe.

President Obama loses golf match to GOP senators

I'm going to predict that Rush Limbaugh has spent or will spend a good portion of today's show discussing just what this means.

Obviously, GOP senators spend too much time playing golf if they can beat Obama!

Since someone else mentioned Limbaugh first, a day or two ago he was going on about Mexico and how someone said we had taken part of Mexico from them following the Mexican-American war and yadda, yadda. So Rush says "But didn't the Mexicans take that land from the people before them? what about the Mayans and the Inca?"

I guess Rush shouldn't have a problem with the "Death Taxes". Cause those people just took all that stuff from the people before them...

I think we should gift Texas to Mexico.

When I used to do field work and have to drive around all day, occasionally I'd listen to Rush (during the Clinton admin - hah). One program stuck in my craw as he spent the entire show discussing the devious reasoning's and plots behind Clinton's golf game with some dignitary or another. I had thought Rush the DJ hated Clinton above all others, but he's much more hateful of Obama.

So much time and emotion spent on building all that anger and i doubt if he even believes in his own rants.
