Once there were these two 5-year old siblings that were dancing in a circle around a dead moth on the drive-way. While they danced they chanted the party-pooper song and tossed pebbles at the moth. The 5-year old me watched for a minute, unsure about whether I should join in or not - it looked like fun. But shouldn't I feel remorse over the loss of the life of the moth? Is this disrespectful to it's remains? I had already at that young age gently and reverently buried other little things that had once been alive.

I joined the dancing circle, and I nailed that moth with a rock every time my turn came around. It was fun. This episode reminded me of that.

This forum needs a brand new thread and I am completely out of tokens.

Have at it. Yes I know IQ only measures a very slim area of intelligence, and is largely irrelevant to life skills, functionality and success.

It is, however, a neat box.
125, same as i got on an iq test i took years ago.

Quote:
The way I see it is having more of something than is useful or necessary. If we are all approaching a point of diminishing returns regarding intellect, then having an excess is of no value.
I agree with this. Intelligence is extremely valuable, up to a certain point, after which is may or may not be very useful, depending on what you do with it.

Just look at Kachi.

Logic 101 has given me no reason (confined to the evidence of this thread) to doubt what he says about himself yet. As in, according to rigorous, scientific Logic, I should not doubt him so far, on the evidence of this thread, even if statistically it is more likely for him to be not as intelligent as he thinks he is, and statistically less likely for him to be exactly as intelligent as he thinks he is compared to most of the people in this thread.

I have to say, that given that I have had the pleasure and the privilege of knowing several bona fide geniuses personally, his account of how he feels about most of humanity is congruent with their experiences of life. A couple of them are socialised enough to not say those things on forums, the others are not.

This isn't a court of law. There is no reason to have an implicit assumption of truth in others statements. Putting the burden of disproving anything said by anyone on everyone except the person making the statement unfairly lowers the valuation of truth in the conversation. You've been fairly persistent in this notion, over the years and I thought it might be wise to reassess your method of evaluating these sorts of constructs. I can't quite tell whether or not this will be fundamentally better for you, but I do think it would be valuable to you.

You can throw rocks at my grave when I'm dead, I think it would be kind of funny.

No, your reading comprehension is not only suspect, it's on notice.

Meh. 112, I rushed through it with a five year old harassing me. Does the mere existence, or presence of children affect your IQ?
